As the year comes to a close, and we look back in review through an astrological lens, we can see the purpose of 2025 was to bring us to a place of higher consciousness and higher seeing.
The biblical mandate to "be in the world, not of it" really strikes a chord when contemplating the energy of this year.
Being that we are physical creatures, the material world has a certain hold on us and our consciousness. It can really "hook us in". The physical world can create serious limitations and biased thinking. That's why we need to include the dimensions of Spirit (higher consciousness) when assessing the totality of who we are.
When we come at life from a place of fear, survival, separation and interpreting the present and future based on past memories, attachments and experiences (from physical 3D life), we will likely end up repeating the same mistakes and patterns of the past AND of our ancestors (Nessus transiting in Pisces). Do we really want history repeating itself?
With the North Node of the Moon in Pisces, our souls are learning to "be in the world, not of it". Can we go beyond the past conditioning, our memories, fears, limitations, emotions, attachments and what our 5 physical senses tell us about things? This isnt by any means easy. That is why it's said that "the road is wide, and the path is narrow". I know I've fallen off the path many times this year.
With Saturn also in Pisces this year, the tests were abound.
Neptune accompanied Saturn in Pisces as well.
You can look at Neptune as the "Great Dissolver" of Saturn's limitations. In Pisces, the limitations are hopelessness and negative victim thinking, like nothing will ever change and you'll be relegated to suffer with some curse or problem for the rest of your life - that you'll have to go without. Pisces can also feel very sorry for itself and pine for what never was because it sees things with rose colored glasses and the grass always being greener on the other side. Saturn casts doubt and pessimism on everything. Paired with Neptune it challenges us to rise above, to see with divine eyes, to feel into the Grace and higher guidance that is always surrounding us that the negativity and fear numbs us to. It's solace is there, we've just ignored it for the most part.
Well, Neptune/Saturn has been asking us to re-connect with God's LOVE, GUIDANCE and GRACE, which TRUMPS all of our little strategies, ideas, thoughts, beliefs and attempts to try and deal with/figure life out. We are always held in the Divine love and presence whether we attune ourselves and recognize it or not. Overidentification with the ego is what keeps us away from our BLESSINGS.
Humans engage in so much struggling and effort, all coming from the scared and limited EGO. This is where we become stuck and rigid.
This year, we are being asked to shed those layers of self that have us stuck in repeat patterns of the past, old memories, inner narratives, defenses, manipulations, strategies and fears.
There is YOUR little way and then THE WAY. THE WAY see's deeper, knows more, is rooted in a higher intelligence, BUT that way also feels scary and foreign because we rarely connect into or engage with it. THE WAY many times doesn't even register because you're so used to listening to and following the rigid and well worn patterns of the mind and body. They feel safer, they feel comfortable BUT are they BETTER, HEALTHIER, WISER?
This is the year we actually see and feel the consequences and the price we pay for CHOOSING to walk the path of the ego, because with Uranus in Gemini, another path is now available more than ever because our MINDS(GEMINI) are awaking to the possibilities that ego has prevented us from even seeing.
Recently, an idea came to me out of the blue about something I should do and I noticed myself coming up with all kinds of reasons and excuses that It probably wouldnt work. Then I thought about how much I was doing this all year, then how much I did this my WHOLE LIFE and I finally understood the intention and purpose of this year's astrology!
This was the year to get you out of your own way.
It's amazing just how much we are our own worst enemy.
AND what's really cool is this past lunar cycle which is helping us to close out 2025 really emphasizes in a BIG WAY the need to look at the body, mind, emotion, spirit complex of self and see with depth and clarity all the things that we continue to allow to suck the energy, vitality and joy right out of our lives.
This past lunar cycle that began in Scorpio (DEEP FEELING) and culminated in Gemini squared the Nodal Axis in Virgo/Pisces. This means that we have been invited to do one last deep dive into the self in order to see for one last time before the close of the year all the things we havent let go of yet, that we havent unconditionally loved and forgiven (Pisces) - in ourselves and in others... those things from the lower consciousness of ego that try so hard to hook us in and steal our peace and our higher knowing/divine guidance to navigate life.
It is said in the Bible that WE have been given the authority to cast out demons. Jesus did this SO MANY TIMES in his ministry. BUT what casts out demons?
In Chistian art iconography there are so many paintings depicting Jesus' sacred heart. The heart is where we love. It is also taught by many spiritual traditions to be the resting place and home of God's Spirit. Christ proclaimed, "the Father and I are One". He also said, "when you make thine eye single, you're whole body shall be filled with light". When you make your will God's... when you align your heart and will with his, miracles can happen. BUT how many of us open ourselves to that? How many of us actively seek to know and align our will with anything other than the ego?
Christ LOVED unconditionally, and his "perfect LOVE cast out all fear".
So many of us still have triggers, wounds, traumas, betrayals, fear based memories and emotionally driven thoughts and beliefs driving our actions and choices in the world (Scorpio Lunar cycle). These were the things to "become aware of", to "awaken to" and to unconditionally love and ultimately RELEASE this year, so that we could live more according to our true selves, in freedom (Pluto in Aquarius). AND here is the secret - the loving creates the releasing. Do you ever notice that when you surrendur and just let something go, there is a sort of peace that overcomes you and a change in your energy field? When you TRULY accept something as it is, unconditionally, it just changes somehow. It's no longer sticky, thorny or has its hooks in you. BUT how many of us actually do this versus fighting, screaming, yelling, resisting, strategizing, clinging, manipulating, escaping, ignoring?
No one is perfect. If we want to be forgiven we have to be willing to forgive. It's what allows for a rebirth. If we want a rebirth, a healing and a new way to be possible, we have to make room for it AND if we just move on to another thing without forgiving the pattern that created the sh*tty experience, you'll change your geography BUT still get the same sh*tty experience.
This year was the clarion call to look at the dark underbelly of our deepest traumas and wounds that are crying out for love, healing and forgiveness so that we can get on with life in new ways starting in 2026. This was a gigantic clearing of the slate. AND forgiving doesnt mean staying in bad situation, it means releasing it's energetic hooks in yourself, which can be done from a safe distance if need be. Its also helps to look at the behavior, NOT the person, because at the end of the day, we all have been conditioned and influenced by things of this world.
Next year will feature a Venus retrograde in Scorpio, in a t square configuration with planets in fixed signs - SO, we arent done with this process of shedding, purification, and forgiveness by a long shot. I would start seeing life, as we segue into the future, like a journey of becoming our true selves as we learn to align our will with a Higher Will, forgive and ego and past, allowing layers of heaviness to drop away.
How do we do this? How do we align with God?
We can start by contemplating what God is?
To me, God is pure love. It's a being that created everything GOOD in this world and beyond. It's a life giver. It holds us always in perfect peace. This being appears to constantly give love and infinite chances to get things right when we fail and get things wrong. God appears to be all pervasive, infinite and everlasting. God makes miracles manifest, in fact, God itself is miraculous. BUT in our limited humanity we have erected A LOT of obstacles and defenses that get in the way of experiencing those beautiful aspects of God's nature and making them our very own. AND it's ALSO humanity that can start choosing differently - to awaken to and plug into what God has to offer us beyond our human error in separation, survival and ignorance. BUT that takes sacrifice (like Christ - avatar of our current Age of Pisces) of our lower nature and limited 3D consciousness to accomplish this calling. Can we merge our humanity with our divinity? As it is said, many are called, few are chosen. Well, I think we are all chosen, but how many of us squander that opportunity and pick to follow the lower self?
Going forward into the New Year, and into a massively huge new life cycle (year 1, Neptune/Saturn at 0 Aries World Point), what will you chose? Love of Fear?
