The cat is out of the bag! Now that Alex has shared the news with all her clients, we can finally announce that our beloved Paediatric OT will be relocating to Perth very soon!

Fresh from her current European adventure, Alex will be launching More Than Able Therapy’s Perth community-based OT services later this year. While our team is fighting back sobs at losing her from our local clinic, we’re thrilled to bring More Than Able to Perth families!

If you didn’t catch this segment on ACA last night— our physiotherapists are so vital for kids and families.

Over the last few years so many of our families have been absolutely blessed by the support from the previous charity organisation "The Board Meeting". When they closed last year, it was a major loss for the whole Sunny Coast community. We are thrilled to see the team are up and running with this wonderful new charity Surf for Kids !! Jump on their page, and support however you can. We have seen first hand the life changing support these guys provide.

And just like that, we are up and running with a brand new charity to help Sunny Coast families with disabled kids. A huge effort by our team especially the crews at VA, Griffiths Parry Lawyers and Evolve Accounting.

By now you’ve all met the lovely Emma, our frequent work experience student. Emma first approached us to volunteer in the clinic in 2024, and since then has been a returning favourite for all our clinicians and clients. Emma works so hard, and has a real heart and passion for paediatric allied health. She plans to go on to study at University (we are taking bets on which flavor of AH professional she might become- OT, Physio, Psych, SW or even a Speechie! Who knows!)

Last week we officially signed the paperwork for Emma to engage in a school based traineeship completing a certificate in Allied Health Assistance. So, luckily for all of us, that means you’ll get to see her every week from now on! Welcome to the More Than Able Therapy team, Emma! ☀️
