Hello 🤍
I wanted to pause for a moment and introduce myself.
From 2 February, I’ll be stepping in as the new owner–operator of Phoenix Yoga Shala. I’m doing so with deep care, respect, and a strong intention to honour the community that has grown here over the years.
Before anything else is shared, it felt important simply to say hello—and to reassure you that the heart of Phoenix isn’t changing.
The movement. The warmth. The connection. The care. 💛
Those will all continue.
I’m not an experienced yogi or a teacher, and I’ve never owned a studio before. I’m a mum of three, I run a veterinary practice, and I moonlight as a singer. But I am someone who found Phoenix during one of the hardest chapters of my life—and it quietly held me together.
Week after week, I showed up. I sweated. I sang loudly to the 90s hits in HIP class (thanks Mister Aaron Walker 😄). I cried in savasana. And breath by breath, class by class, I moved forward.
Yoga and Pilates aren’t just hobbies. They’re anchors. They’re how we come back to our bodies when our minds are overloaded. How we find strength, stillness, and moments of lightness when life feels heavy.
That’s why this space matters so deeply to me.
My hope is to preserve and gently evolve Phoenix into a place where people can show up exactly as they are, move through whatever life is holding for them, and leave feeling just a little more grounded than when they arrived. 🧘♀️
I wanted you to know where this is coming from—because legacy matters.
And soon, I'll be sharing some new offerings I'll be bringing to Phoenix. 🐦🔥
If you’d like to stay connected, there’s nothing you need to do. I’ll continue to keep you in the loop through the usual channels as things unfold.
With gratitude,
Renée.
