đź’ˇ Did you know your median nerve can get trapped here?

The median nerve—one of the main nerves of your arm—commonly passes between the two heads of the pronator teres muscle. In fact, this happens in around 83% of people.

That means every time you twist your forearm (like turning a doorknob, using a screwdriver, or typing), the nerve is at risk of being compressed. This condition is called Pronator Teres Syndrome, and it can mimic or even worsen symptoms that people often mistake for carpal tunnel syndrome.

⚡ Common signs:
• Tingling, numbness, or pain in the forearm and hand.
• Weak grip or difficulty with fine movements.
• Pain that worsens with repeated forearm rotation.

🔑 Choice Point Technique insight:
Unlike many treatments that only focus on the wrist or hand, our approach looks upstream—where nerves actually get caught. By working with the skin, connective tissue, and neurodynamics around the pronator teres, we create space for the nerve to move freely again.

✅ The result: reduced pain, restored nerve function, and better movement—all without relying on aggressive or painful techniques.

👉 If you’ve been told you have carpal tunnel but your symptoms don’t quite match, it might be your pronator teres causing the problem.

Treating knee pain isn't always about treating the knee itself. For a number of years I've focused a large part of knee pain treatment on the Femoral Nerve & Lateral Femoral Cutaneous Nerve. (Page 106/107 of our course manual).

Here is a new study confirming the benefits of considering these nerves.

🔬This is what your skin “feels” like from the inside out…
What you’re seeing in these incredible images is Sihler’s staining - a technique that renders muscle transparent and stains nerves, revealing the web of sensory nerves just beneath the skin.

This is isn’t just anatomy. It’s the living map of sensation - the delicate highways your body uses to detect touch, temperature, pressure, and pain.

🧠 These nerves don’t just “send messages to the brain”.
They modulate your sense of self, influence movement, posture, emotional state, and even organ function.

Look closely at how complex the patterns are. These aren’t motor nerves controlling big muscles - they’re cutaneous nerves, weaving through layers of fascia and soft tissue, often branching in ways that are unique to each person.

In my practice, these nerves are not just something to avoid. They’re central to treatment.

I work with them through precise techniques that restore mobility, reduce entrapment, and change how your nervous system processes threat and touch.

The pain you feel in your muscles and joints is most commonly found in the tension and compression of these tiny neural threads.

⚡️You don’t need deep pressure. You need deep understanding.

🌟 Can Lumbar Herniated Discs Heal Themselves? The Science Says Yes! 🌟

Did you know that lumbar herniated discs can sometimes heal without surgery? A groundbreaking systematic review by Chiu et al. (2015) found that spontaneous regression of herniated discs is not only possible but surprisingly common in certain cases.

🔬 The Science Behind It:
Your body is an incredible healer! Researchers discovered that mechanisms like inflammation and resorption can naturally reduce disc herniations over time, especially in cases of:
✅ Sequestrated or extruded discs – these types showed the highest likelihood of regression.
✅ Smaller, localized herniations – the body can reabsorb the displaced material.

👩‍⚕️ What This Means for You:
If you’re dealing with back pain from a herniated disc, there’s hope for recovery without invasive procedures.

đź’ˇ Your Takeaway:
Always explore your options! There’s a path forward that doesn’t always involve surgery.

C2 has massively branched dorsal rami. The greater occipital nerves, which become cutaneous, emerge in the neck and disseminate upward to supply all the skin over the back of the head.
The presentation will usually be associated with recent whiplash injury and may be experiencing headache, sore stiff neck that feels worse when moving the neck, especially on forward flexion. These nerves, like all nerves, vary from one individual to another and will the sore spots. There will usually be at least one on each side and sometimes as many as three on each side.
