đź’ˇ Did you know your median nerve can get trapped here?
The median nerve—one of the main nerves of your arm—commonly passes between the two heads of the pronator teres muscle. In fact, this happens in around 83% of people.
That means every time you twist your forearm (like turning a doorknob, using a screwdriver, or typing), the nerve is at risk of being compressed. This condition is called Pronator Teres Syndrome, and it can mimic or even worsen symptoms that people often mistake for carpal tunnel syndrome.
⚡ Common signs:
• Tingling, numbness, or pain in the forearm and hand.
• Weak grip or difficulty with fine movements.
• Pain that worsens with repeated forearm rotation.
🔑 Choice Point Technique insight:
Unlike many treatments that only focus on the wrist or hand, our approach looks upstream—where nerves actually get caught. By working with the skin, connective tissue, and neurodynamics around the pronator teres, we create space for the nerve to move freely again.
✅ The result: reduced pain, restored nerve function, and better movement—all without relying on aggressive or painful techniques.
👉 If you’ve been told you have carpal tunnel but your symptoms don’t quite match, it might be your pronator teres causing the problem.
