🌲 "We're trained to see the forest, not just the trees." 🌲

While other practitioners might focus on individual symptoms (the trees), we're trained to step back and see the whole picture (the forest) 🌿

Your headaches might not just be about your head.
Your digestive issues might not just be about your gut.
Your sleep problems might not just be about bedtime habits.

Everything in your body is connected. Your hormones, stress levels, nutrition, lifestyle, and even your relationships all influence how you feel.

When we work together, we're not just treating symptoms – we're understanding the WHY behind them. We're looking at patterns, connections, and root causes that might not be obvious at first glance.

This is why your initial consultation is 1.5 hours. We need time to see your whole forest 🌳

Because when we understand the bigger picture, we can create lasting change that goes beyond just masking symptoms.

Ready to step back and see your health from a new perspective?

Not everything fits in a box — and neither do we.

We’re often asked what we specialise in at New Leaf. And the truth is… we don’t niche.

Because real health doesn’t work in silos.
Your gut, hormones, immune system, energy and mood are constantly in conversation — so your care should reflect that.

Yes, some of our practitioners have areas they’re passionate about — fertility, digestion, burnout, mental wellbeing. But at the heart of it all?
We’re generalist naturopaths who work with your whole picture.

If your health story feels messy, complicated, or just too “all over the place” — this is exactly where we start.

💬 Let’s talk. Head to the website to book your appointment today. Or pop over to the Journal to read about our Whole Person Naturopathic Care approach... link in the bio, you know the drill...

🌿 Gentle reminder from us to you...

Have you taken your herbs today?

They’re not just a bottle on the bench — they’re part of your body’s recalibration. A small moment of consistency that helps move the needle in a meaningful way.

So take a breath. Sip slowly. And let your formula do what it’s here to do.

✨ Healing isn’t about perfection — it’s about gently turning up as you are.

Green Tea - yeah, it's trendy, and it's everywhere - but it's also pretty good for you! We often recommend green tea as part of our gut microbiome restoration treatment plans as it does so many things:

🍵 It can improve Bifido and Lactobacilius species
🍵 It's packed with antioxidant POLYPHENOLS that may reduce dysbiosis (that's the imbalance of bad to good gut bugs)
🍵 It has a gentle anti-microbial effect, helping to restore balance to your gut!
🍵 A few cups a day can improve the pH of your intestines, helping with transit time and making it a happy place!

5-6 cups a day should give you around 300mg of catechins, which is a potent antioxidant your gut loves - but during her travels to Japan, found this green tea powder (not matcha) that contains 150mg per sachet! And it tastes delicious! Hot or cold.

Now that Hannah's back, we'll try to find a similar product here that packs the same punch! Food as medicine for is always the way forward!

Got issues with your digestion? Speak to us! We know we can make it better!

Your period isn’t just a monthly inconvenience—it’s your body’s monthly report card.

And sometimes? That report is waving big red flags… you just haven’t been taught how to read them.

At New Leaf, we’re serious about being excellent at what we do—but also collaborative, human, and grounded. That’s why all our practitioners are proud members of the Naturopaths & Herbalists Association of Australia (NHAA)—the oldest professional association for naturopaths in the country.

🌱 What does this mean for you?
It means the practitioner you’re seeing has met rigorous education and training standards. It means we follow a strict code of ethics, are committed to ongoing professional development, and are actively engaged with the wider healthcare community.

It’s not just about letters after our name. It’s about accountability, connection, and making sure you’re in safe, well-informed hands.

When you're looking for a naturopath or herbalist to be your practitioner, you want to make sure you know what qualifications they have (are they listed on the website - ours are!), and that they are members of a professional association (yep, all of us are). To ensure you're in safe hands, this is what you should expect from any health professional you consult with.

💡 .est1920 membership helps ensure your care is:
✔️ Evidence-informed
✔️ Collaborative (yes, we talk to your GP!)
✔️ Safe and ethical
✔️ Part of a nationally recognised standard

In a sea of health noise, NHAA membership is one of the clearest signs that you’re working with a qualified, professional, and genuinely caring naturopath.

Being a proud NHAA member means a lot to us - is currently the president of this Association - an honour she takes seriously so she can support her patients by improving the standards of naturopathic care in Australia and being an advocate for other practitioners.

Because your story deserves to be heard—and we’re here for it, with both heart and science.

Questions are encouraged at New Leaf - we love it when our patients arrive at their appointments with questions. And we love being able to help shed some light on what the heck is happening to their bodies.

Hair loss in women/AFAB is one of those things that makes many feel confused and worried. Understandably.

So when you turn up with your questions about hair falling out, we often we begin by asking a few more questions, such as:

✨ When did it start—was it sudden or gradual?
✨ Have you had recent illness, surgery, or major stress?
✨ Are your hormones balanced? Periods regular?
✨ Any changes in meds or supplements lately?
✨ How are you styling your hair—tight styles, heat, chemicals?
✨ Is there a family history of hair loss?

Hair thinning can be linked to stress, nutritional deficiencies, imbalance, hormone shifts (hello + # perimenopause), or even how you care for your hair.

Hair loss is complex—and treatable. If you're noticing changes, let’s talk. We’re here to listen, test (if needed), and create a plan tailored to you.
