I loved teaching the Sankalpa - Dancing with Shiva workshop this weekend. I love how the topic is the same every year but every workshop is different. This year we finished with Marianne Williamson’s famous words. ❤️❤️

I love this time of year when I’m preparing for the Sankalpa workshop. We contemplate how the symbols of Nataraja can help us understand what’s important in our lives and we practice asanas that express those qualities. This is a great two class workshop to get your New Year intentions clear and achievable. Saturday and Sunday 8 am to 10 am.

My nephew Max played his last concert with Sydney Youth Orchestra on Sunday. I wore Mum‘s necklace. She would have been so proud and delighted that one of her grandchildren had this opportunity. Mum grew up in Wagga in the 1930s and 40s when any music education was limited. Even when she moved to Sydney after school to study violin, she felt she had already missed out on many opportunities. That’s the main reason she founded the Ku-ring-gai Philharmonic Orchestra Concerto Competition for high school kids. -ring-gai
