7 months of sprint training and got a PB for Chrissy - ran a 6.13 40m dash with a top speed of 29.27 kph. Took the gong in the handicapped 100m too starting furthest back!!

At 43 took up proper sprint training. Twice a week. Ran with the 12 year olds and ran with the first graders. Bowlers need to sprint. Almost 2 years of it now.

This year missed 2 sessions due to weather. A few more with a torn quad. Twisted ankle. Permanently Separated shoulder had me in a Sling for 6-8 weeks. Many days of not wanting to get up at 515 am - especially in winter when getting home after 11pm.

After the shoulder injury started my sprints with a 6.43 40m and 26.47 kph top speed

I wish I knew what I do now when I was 15. Didn’t want to be there today. No sleep. Everything sore. Long day ahead.

I also learned a lot about what I preach. My new found education in motor preferences and action types paid dividends. I have horizontal preferences and today focussed on not correcting them in my sprint but letting them be. Coincidence … time will tell

If you want it get it.

Build the power build the pace

Thanks to all the cricketers, thanks to my friends. Thanks to for being a legend of a guy and one guy I want to see succeed so much. Thanks to for supporting and believing. Thanks to my boys and Isaac

A big thank you to for your support. Words won’t do justice. Another tough year for us but a bright looking future.
