How often should executives repeat blood work?

Most busy professionals either test once a year because they “have to”, or avoid blood work for years until something goes wrong. Neither approach is ideal if you care about performance, longevity, and risk.

Here is a simple framework:

Minimum baseline
• Full baseline panel when starting with a new practitioner
• Repeat at 12 months if everything is stable
• Good for low-risk clients with a consistent lifestyle

Higher stress or risk
• Long hours, high stress, poor sleep, or travel
• Family history of cardiovascular or metabolic disease
• Consider repeating key markers every 3–6 months

When to test sooner
• New symptoms (fatigue, shortness of breath, chest pain, rapid weight change)
• Major changes in training, medication, or supplement use
• Any concerning results from previous blood work
