Legends of facebook,

Evolution Allied Health runs a mountain biking program for NDIS participants. The kids, teenagers, and adults love riding and getting involved in the program. Many of our participants are just testing the waters with regards to riding and don't want to outlay for a new bike & some cannot afford to purchase one due to the costs involved with managing their various conditions and disabilities.

Many participants enjoy their time so much in the program that they will keep riding for life. They use our provided bikes during the program but many eventually want their own bike to look after, ride and enjoy. For some, this means they have gained transportation, independence and activity for social connections and development which they may not otherwise have had.

The purpose of this ad is for us to purchase a couple of good QUALITY, SAFE bikes that participants (or carers) that we will then pass on to the appropriate participants at the cost price. This is not to make any money, it is purely to provide bikes to participants that would not have otherwise been able to get one.

'Keen Mountain Biker' would be an understatement, to say the least.

Likes:
- Mountain Biking. Lives it. Breathes it.
- Air time and a good chin wag
- Jumps of all shapes and sizes…enough to test the limits of most normal bikes
- Anything to do with mountain biking, he's seen it, heard about it, and can probably give you an education on it!
- Asking good questions

-------------------------------------

As a participant in the ’Grab Life By The Handlebars ©’ Program, Jack's going to be learning things like how to:
- safely tackle some more technical single-track obstacles, optimize line selection and bike control
- effectively use body positioning, as well as specific muscular recruitment, engagement and improve his spatial awareness
- land as lightly as possible; reducing fatigue, improving overall endurance and fine motor control
- implement all parts of the mountain biking safety code
- effectively practice my new skills to keep making me better at mountain biking every day
- …and that’s just the beginning...
One day soon Jack wants to be able to...
Scrub & whip over jumps

Featured In Earlier News Today:
"Bike manufacturers worldwide are looking at using a new standard in bike toughness rating. Bikes are all assigned a rating from 1 - 10 on the 'Jack-proof’ scale, where 1/10 = not very durable at all…probably intended as ‘ornamental’, would not last a single jump from young Jack, basically the rivets start rattling when he even looks at it, and 10/10 = Virtually indestructible, would likely last over 10 years of very testing conditions and would 100% be worth buying. It is now the gold standard for rating bike toughness.
