🎉You Queensland Turns 5!🎉

This month, we’re celebrating 5 incredible years of You Queensland — and what a journey it’s been! 💚

Since 2020, we’ve proudly supported young Queenslanders through School Leaver Employment Supports (SLES) and tailored disability support services that build skills, confidence, and independence.

Over the years, we’ve grown alongside our participants — and recently, we’ve expanded our services to include Support Coordination and Support Work, allowing us to provide even more holistic, person-centred support. Whether it’s navigating the NDIS, working toward life goals, or gaining real-world experience, we’re here every step of the way. 💼🌱

From job readiness to community participation, from goal planning to daily support, we’ve had the privilege of walking beside a multitude of participants as they take bold steps toward their future — and we couldn’t be prouder.

To our incredible participants, families, support workers, support coordinators, employers, and community partners — thank you. YOU are the heart of You Queensland, and everything we do is powered by your trust, passion, and belief in what we’re building together. 💚

Chelsea has heen supported by her wonderful You Queensland Employment Supports Specialist Tera to achieve her goal. Chelsea's journey over the past 12 weeks exemplifies her commitment and diligence in her pursuit of a Certificate II in Hospitality 🎓✨.

This qualification is designed to equip students with foundational skills and knowledge essential for various roles within the hospitality industry, including customer service, food safety, and operational procedures. The collaboration between Axiom College - Hervey Bay RTO # 40489 and Hervey Bay Neighbourhood Centre highlights the importance of community partnerships 🤗🤝 in vocational education, providing students like Chelsea with practical experience and support.

What a year it’s been! To everyone who has supported us in 2024—thank you from the bottom of our hearts. 💖 Your kindness and support have made this year truly special, and we couldn’t be more grateful.

We’ll be wrapping up early today to celebrate with our team at our staff Christmas party 🎉. After that, we’re taking a well-earned break 🎁 and will reopen on 6th January 2025, ready to kick off another amazing year.
