The Unexpected Path That Led Me Here
Getting into real estate was never something I thought I’d actually accomplish.
It was more of a quiet little dream I carried around for many years.
Back in my early 20s, I had a close friend whose family I spent a lot of time with. Her lovely mum was a real estate agent — gentle, softly spoken, and full of heart. Not exactly the traits I had associated with real estate agents at the time… but I admired her deeply.
Back then, I was into numerology (still am, really!) and loved exploring the meanings behind numbers and other esoteric studies. One day I realised I shared the same numbers as this woman I looked up to — and somewhere in the back of my mind, I thought, Well, if she can do it, maybe one day I could too.
But life had other plans first — I suppose to prepare me for this path.
Fast forward to 2020 — the COVID chaos we all remember. My business, The Yoga Studio Maryborough, was doing really well. I had a full timetable, regular clients, and was expanding into different class styles. It felt like things were really flowing… until lockdown hit.
I moved yoga classes online, but it just didn’t have the same magic as being in the room with people.
Looking back, that time ended up being a blessing dressed as a curse. It gave me space to reflect — to really ask myself, Where is my life going?
When restrictions lifted, I didn’t feel the same pull to go back to the full schedule of pre-COVID life. I pared back, explored other options, and eventually found myself back in retail. Then, life took another unexpected turn.
An old charity event I’d put on hold for eight years came back into my world, and I found myself organising it again. As part of that, we approached local businesses for sponsorship — and that’s when I met Tina.
The moment I sat down with her, I just knew — this woman was going to be part of something important in my life. I had no idea how, but the feeling was undeniable.
A little while later, as one of the retail jobs I had went into receivership, a mutual friend mentioned that Tina was looking for a PA. I figured I had nothing to lose by reaching out… and the rest, as they say, is history.
And now here I am — working in real estate, and loving it.
I love meeting locals and hearing the stories that make up their lives. I love helping first home buyers find a place they can truly call their own. And I feel genuinely honoured to be trusted by people navigating huge life changes — separation, divorce, loss — to guide them through one of the biggest transitions (and transactions) of their lives.
So if you’re new here, welcome! This page used to be all about yoga — and in many ways, it still is about connection, balance, and showing up for others. The form has changed, but the heart remains the same. 💚
