Getting busy in the kitchen today cooking up a batch of Springtime Relish and Bottling some Worcestershire Sauce that has been slow fermenting for the last 6 months 😘👌

Learnings: Kitchen Safety, Sterilization of Jars and Bottles, Sanitizing equipment, Preparation of Ingredients, Procedure of Cooking, Bottling and then Heat bath Canning the Relish for Shelf stability.

Some burning off flared up with the wind on Kgari - Fraser Island which soon hid the whole island and then parts of the mainland as the smoke drifted across the Straits like a thick shroud.
It was actually a really cool thing to witness.

The former Leslie Wilson Home for Bush Children where Ian lived from 13-15 years of age.
Now repurposed as Police Training Academy so we weren't allowed to access the site without a process of criminal checks and then approval from the Head Honcho but we were able to take some pictures 😬
The last three pictures are as Ian remembers it back in the day.
