Did you know that going to the toilet when you need to is a simple way to support your bladder health? While there are some situations where you may need to hold your p*e (urine), going when you need to can help prevent health issues down the track.
Holding in your p*e too often can lead to:
💧 Infections. When p*e stays in your bladder too long, it can lead to a urinary tract infection (UTI).
💧 Stretching of your bladder. Holding your p*e often can stretch your bladder. This can make it harder to empty your bladder properly later.
💧Bladder control problems. Over time, holding your p*e can weaken bladder muscles.
This can lead to leaks or needing to rush to the toilet.

New national strategies for hepatitis B and hepatitis C set the next steps to eliminate these communicable diseases as public health challenges by 2030.

Hepatitis B and C can cause serious illness, including liver disease and liver cancer. Many people don’t know they have hepatitis or are not getting care.

The strategies focus on:
✅ increasing education and prevention
✅ testing more and diagnosing earlier
✅ improving access to treatment and monitoring
✅ supporting community-based care
✅ reducing stigma and health inequity
✅ developing a strong evidence base for action.

A vaccine and treatments are available to prevent hepatitis B and serious complications, while effective treatments can cure hepatitis C. These tools can protect health and save lives.
