We are excited to host Autism Queensland in our Jimboomba Garage on Friday 17th April, 2.00 - 4.00pm where they will be having their 'Bridging voices: celebrating connections for young women event'.

Join us at Wheelnutz Garage Jimboomba on 17 April, 2-4pm, where autistic women living in the area will come together for a relaxed, inclusive showcase event celebrating the voices of autistic women and community connection.

Hosted through the Jimboomba Wellbeing Project (funded by Brisbane South PHN), this gathering will also share insights and outcomes from the project so far.

If you are an autistic woman age 15-30 and living in Jimboomba, Beaudesert, and Flagstone, consider joining us to:
💬 Meet other autistic young women and form meaningful connections.
🎨 Explore creative work by autistic women.
🤝 Learn about local supports and services.
🌿 Enjoy a calm, low-pressure environment — come and go as you like

Mental health and community service providers are also welcome to connect, network, and learn what’s happening locally. Support people are welcome, and light refreshments will be available.

2026 is proving to be an interesting year in the world of F1. McLaren is hurting, Red Bull is hurting, Max is grumpy, Ferrari is up and going, and Kimi is looking fast. Impressive weekend by the young fella 🇮🇹

This carby linkage bracket is an example.

From a block of alloy, the crew have cut it back, shaped it, drilled & tapped threads into it, sanded and polished. Every opportunity is used to learn a new skill or experience a new task. 💪

It's a beautiful part now installed on the Pontiac Firebird.

Our work in the Logan region continues and we are expanding our engagement with automotive and tyre fitting business across the Western Downs and Maranoa regions.

Today we’re launching our new Automotive Industry position paper “Rethinking Workforce Structure in the Australian Automotive Industry.” 🔧🚗

The paper is part of our AutoInnovate series developed by Wheelnutz Garage and looks at how the industry can think differently about workforce participation at a time when workshops across the country are struggling to find skilled workers.

There is a huge opportunity for the automotive sector to open the door to people who have the skills and passion for the trade but are often overlooked, including people living with disability.

We’re sharing this today ahead of the Melbourne Motor Show, where we’ll also be launching our Inclusive Practice Guide for workshop owners and shop managers.

The automotive industry has always been built on practical solutions. We believe the next step is building a workforce that is stronger, more inclusive, and ready for the future.
