After a week looking like this, Colleen finally gets to have her bandage removed tomorrow. Keeping her bandage dry whilst still trying to get her out in a paddock for some time during the day has been challenging here in rainy Meadows!
She has been an absolute star, as has her paddock/stable buddy Amigo.
Very impressed with Roseworthy for the surgery on her sinus and also our vet Lachlan Cameron for his attention in the lead up to the surgery.

At last, it's taken about 10 years, but Colleen has finally decided she wants a rug on!! We gave up trying years ago as she would stand in the corner, sulking, and refuse to move until we took off the rug. We then built her a field shelter, but she only goes in there in the summer. But the weather was so bad yesterday she changed her mind.

Scary night.
Thanks to our wonderful agisters for an awesome job getting their horses out. Together with Brooke, Erica, Virginia and Peter, we spent a sleepless night with Colleen, Amigo, Orla and Vesper at Mount Barker Oval.
A huge thanks to all of the volunteers at the Oval, many of whom were locals or footy club members that gave up their entire night to help, including one lady who was burnt out last year, that came to give back the help she'd received a year ago. The volunteers didn't seem to take a break all night.
Amazing !!
Thanks to all the businesses that gave food and drink for free... Gio's Pizza and KFC are the ones we remember but there were probably more.
Special mention to Mobil X Convenience servo on Wellington Road for bring open and serving coffee at 5am and then later for donating 26 coffees.
Lastly, biggest thanks of all to the various fire and emergency services involved; CFS, MFS, SES and others. These men and women are simply unbelievable.
