𝙃𝒆𝙖𝒍𝙞𝒏𝙜 𝙞𝒔𝙣’𝙩 𝙖 𝙙𝒆𝙨𝒕𝙞𝒏𝙖𝒕𝙞𝒐𝙣.
It’s the unlearning of the programs that made you forget you were already whole.
An autoimmune diagnosis was my starting point.
I kept asking medical practitioners “Why?”
And when the answer kept landing as “just because,” I knew I couldn’t stop there.
So I went down the rabbit hole - for more than a decade, learning how the body actually works:
emotionally, physically, environmentally, and spiritually.
Nutrition was my Gateway.
Not just to “eat better”… but to realise I’m more than a meat sack with symptoms.
Because so much of life is driven by subconscious patterns:

Most people are taught to manage a 𝘥𝘪𝘢𝘨𝘯𝘰𝘴𝘪𝘴.
But your body doesn’t run in separate compartments.
It runs in systems - digestion, blood sugar, hormones, detox pathways, nervous system, immune function.
When one system is under strain, the whole body compensates.
That’s why you can be “treating the symptom” and still feel off.
A label can be useful.
But a label doesn’t explain why your body is out of balance.
Here’s a better question:
“What is my body trying to tell me?”
This question puts you back in the driver’s seat.
It shows you what you can influence. Inputs, rhythms, stress load, nourishment, sleep, movement, and support.
My superpower is teaching you the language of your body - so you’re not guessing, googling, or stuck managing forever.

Maurice’s journey from Buddhist practice and CBT into ACT, polyvagal theory and Internal Family Systems – and how East and West are really talking about the same inner processes in different languages.
The idea of the poly-mind: why we say “a part of me wants X, another part of me wants Y” – and how IFS sees these as real, distinct inner parts with their own stories, beliefs and body sensations.
No bad parts: how protective parts like anger, anxiety, perfectionism, people-pleasing, jealousy or overwhelm are actually safety mechanisms trying to keep us from emotional pain – not character defects.
The difference between parts energy vs Self energy – and the 8 C’s of Self (calm, curiosity, compassion, courage, clarity, confidence, creativity, connection) as a practical way to notice when you’re regulated and present.
How polyvagal theory helps us track when we’re in fight, flight or dorsal shutdown – and why “I’m overwhelmed” is often the nervous system going outside its window of tolerance, not a moral failing.
A simple starting point if you’re in overwhelm: using what you don’t want (e.g. “I don’t want to feel this anxious/jealous/angry”) as a doorway to understand what that part is afraid of and trying to protect.
The power of witnessing – both in relationship and internally: “I see you, I hear you, and you matter” – and how this alone can radically soften anxious, angry or avoidant parts.
How our inner harmonising of parts and Self mirrors what’s happening on the collective level – and why Maurice feels we are in a time of “remembering” who we really are as consciousness having a human experience.
A reflection on manifestation, story and meaning-making – noticing how the mind constantly creates a story about the past and future, and how freedom comes from seeing that we are the ones giving events their meaning.

You don’t need to “kill your ego” – your parts formed when there wasn’t enough safety or Self energy available. They’re doing the best they can with the tools they had.
The work is not to get rid of parts, but to befriend and lead them from Self, with curiosity and compassion.
Tracking your body sensations (tight chest, solar plexus, lump in throat, shutdown, agitation) is one of the most direct ways to identify which part is up and what it’s trying to do for you.
Every time you come back to the present moment and drop the judgment-laden story, you’re contributing not just to your own healing, but to the wider collective nervous system.
I see memories pop up on Facebook; photos of my children when they were small, and I remember how unwell I felt during those years. How hard it was to truly connect with the joy in front of me.
My dream now is that every mother, no matter where she is in her parenting journey - can learn to trust her body again.
To chase dreams not just of being a great mum, but of being the woman, wife, partner, and person she knows she can be.

My own exploration of health started in 2016 as I drove from Sydney to Melbourne, heavily pregnant after selling my traditional commercial real estate business in Darlinghurst NSW and having an auto immune disease represent after 29 years of being in remission.
I truly wished I had someone to hold my hand in my wellness journey. I found the general health system to be lacking in knowledge and wisdom and no-one talked about nutrition or diet despite me asking the question repeatedly. I was told it didn't matter.
After huge wins in the commercial property space with 22 years experience finding property solutions, I drove for 9 hours to our new temporary home as we relocated states. I stumbled upon a podcast fortuitously called ‘A Quirky Journey’ and it all began, hours and hours of driving and as I played each episode with vigour I found myself nodding in agreement to a lot of the ailments being discussed that I had thought were ‘normal’. Well they were, they were my normal.
This business ignited from me wishing someone told me how to do ‘health’ differently. My research and subsequent studies have been pursued with curiosity and disbelief of what we are told is good for us. I have become the world wide student to asking better questions to well direct my own health and that of my family, my husband and my two beautiful boys.
I have guided people to wellness and better choices as a passion project, that is now further fulfilled by the creation of Holding Hands Wellness.
After recognising that our family needed more balance and significantly more nature, we have relocated to Mudgee to enjoy all the splendour it has to offer.
I am seeking others to mentor and coach to help spread the word and help others feel more connected to themselves physically, emotionally and spiritually.
