Is running bad? 🏃🏽♂️
You often see people over the age of 50 running, and you might think to yourself “their knees and back would be horrible”.
Maybe….
But how about those under the age of 50 who can’t run at all? You can’t say its because of running that their knees and back are bad, because you don’t know 🤷🏽♂️
Here’s a photo to get your brain working:
74 year old sedentary male
Vs
70 year old triathlete
You can see that the bone density hasn’t changed, and that they still have more muscle mass than the sedentary male!
So therefore, you could have less chance of arthritic pain, and increase the amount of mobility that you have as you get older.
If running isn’t hurting you, go for it! If thats what gets you moving and keeping active, go for it! 👏🏼👏🏼
