We don’t just fill shifts, we focus on the right fit 💚

At TomCare, we take a more thoughtful approach to support. Because the right support worker isn’t just about availability, it’s about connection, comfort and trust.

We take the time to understand each individual, their needs, personality, communication style and what makes them feel supported, so we can match them with someone who genuinely aligns.

Our team brings a wide range of experience, from nursing and psychology students to educators, Auslan users and people with lived experience, all united by a shared goal of providing meaningful, high-quality support.

Because when the fit is right, everything works better.

If you’re looking for the right support or want to be part of it, we’d love to hear from you 💙

This is what accessible accommodation should feel like ✨

For many people living with a disability, planning a getaway isn’t always straightforward. There can be uncertainty around whether a space will truly meet their needs, something that can take away from the experience before it even begins.

Archie’s Blairgowrie, on the Mornington Peninsula, was created by our founder Sarah, whose lived experience with her son Tom has shaped a deep understanding of what’s needed.

Designed with accessibility at its core, every detail has been considered to support comfort, ease and independence, creating a space where guests can simply arrive and feel at home.

Because a holiday should feel like a break, not something you have to navigate.

Planning a day out shouldn’t feel like a guessing game.

But for many people living with disability, access information can be hard to find and that uncertainty can stop people from going out altogether.

 is helping change that.

It’s a free, crowdsourced platform that brings together real accessibility information for places and activities, from cafes and parks to beaches and events.

Because when people have the right information, they can plan with confidence and feel more included in everyday life.

We love seeing initiatives like this helping make communities more accessible for everyone.

“Welcome to Holland” by Emily Perl Kingsley is something many parents of children with additional needs come across at some point in their journey.

It describes what it can feel like when life doesn’t go to plan, like preparing for one destination, only to arrive somewhere completely different. Not worse… just different.

And while that shift can come with grief, uncertainty and a sense of loss… it can also bring a new perspective, new connections, and a different kind of beauty you never expected.

For Sarah our Founder, this isn’t just a poem, it’s something she’s lived.

Her journey with Tom hasn’t always looked like what she imagined.
But it’s been filled with moments of strength, love, learning and community.

A different path… but one that has shaped everything TomCare stands for today 💙

If you’re on a similar journey, you’re not alone.

Getting dressed shouldn’t feel like a daily challenge.

But for many children with additional needs and their carers, everyday clothing just isn’t designed with them in mind.

That’s where  comes in.

RareWear is an Australian brand creating adaptive clothing designed to make everyday routines easier, more comfortable and more practical. From thoughtful design features to clothing that supports medical access and independence, every piece is created with real families in mind.

Because sometimes it’s the small things, like getting dressed, that can make the biggest difference to the day ahead.

We love seeing brands like RareWear creating inclusive solutions that make life a little easier for children and their families.

Accessibility isn’t just about ramps and lifts, it’s also about how people make you feel.

A space can be physically accessible, but still feel unwelcoming. Sometimes it’s the attitudes, assumptions or interactions that create the biggest barriers.

Because true accessibility isn’t just about getting through the door, it’s about feeling included once you’re there.

What is something people do that can make a space feel less accessible?

We’d love to hear your thoughts 👇

How Ability Fest is different from other festivals.

For many people living with disability, attending a festival can come with barriers, from navigating uneven ground to accessing facilities or finding quiet spaces.

Ability Fest is changing that.

With accessible pathways, sensory spaces, Auslan interpreters, accessible viewing platforms and inclusive facilities, accessibility is built into the entire experience, not added as an afterthought.

This is what inclusive events can look like.

And we love seeing initiatives like this helping create more accessible community experiences.

Finding accessible places shouldn’t be guesswork.

For many people living with disability, planning a simple outing can come with uncertainty. Will there be steps? Is there an accessible bathroom? Is there enough space to move comfortably?

 is helping change that.

This platform helps people find and review accessible venues based on real experiences and real accessibility needs, from cafes and restaurants to parks and public spaces.

Because accessibility isn’t just about getting in the door.
It’s about feeling confident, comfortable and included.

We love seeing initiatives like this helping build more inclusive communities.

Disability parenting can hold many emotions at once.

Moments of deep pride, strength and resilience… alongside the quiet weight that can come with navigating the unknown, advocating, and supporting every day.

Both can exist at the same time.

At TomCare, we recognise the strength of parents, carers and families who show up each day with compassion, patience and love.

Because behind every journey is a family holding so much and doing their very best. đź’›
