I’m super excited to share the stage with my friend Valli at this yoga event in Inverlock in May: “Ancient wisdom meets modern science”, where we talk about the scientific explanation of slow
poses- asanas, vagus nerve, somatic awareness of interoception and proprioception, all with lots of movement and fun, in a plain language, with lots of dance and laughter. 💃

Slow body movement with mindful
attention to the breath is an essential aspect of physical exercise for women in and when our accumulative stress is not even detected by our brain as stress and is perceived as everyday life.
But our autonomic nervous system knows very well what stress is.
is a restorative exercise, often dismissed and neglected, but vital at this transitional stage of a woman’s life.

Honouring women once a year while marginalising, dismissing, and forgetting them as less than men the other 364 days is no longer acceptable.
Women don't need to be placed on a pedestal once a year like a trophy.
It's just not OK any more.
Instead, let us recognise this day as a reminder of progress while committing to celebrating and supporting the women in our lives daily.
