Every morning, I wake up, go to the bathroom, and start getting ready for work.
Without a doubt, once I've closed the door with it open a jar, a fur heads pokes in, pushes through the door and does a downward dog stretch, then lays down behind me and goes back to sleep as I prepare myself for the day ahead.
I love that he is there. I love that he comes in to say good morning. That he feels safe around us. That we are his happy place.
We waited about 7 or so years before getting another dog.
And I can't tell you how much he has changed the dynamic of our family in a good way.
No matter what anyone's mood, when they wake up, come home from work or school, come home from activities, chilling on the couch, etc, when they see Alfie, he lifts their mood. He makes them happy.
This fury little dog, even if it's only for a moment, brings a smile to our face, he makes us laugh, he stays by our side when we are feeling down or just need a hug, and he makes us happy.
He is our therapy ❤️
