When you've grown up in a place that's always chaotic—lots of fights, noise, or unpredictable things happening—it can affect with your head. You might feel super stressed all the time or always on edge because you never knew what was going to happen next.

Now, when things are calm and peaceful, it might feel weird to you. You're so used to everything being crazy that when it's quiet, it might even make you uncomfortable. You might not know how to handle it because your brain got used to dealing with chaos all the time.

In addition, growing up in that kind of environment can impact your feelings and relationships. You might have trouble trusting others or keeping your emotions in check. Sometimes, it can feel like those chaotic experiences stick with you, making it hard to feel okay even when things seem fine.

"One of the most challenging aspects of recovering from the effects of emotionally immature parents is learning how to set boundaries. Adult children of emotionally immature parents often struggle with boundary-setting, as they were not taught to value their own needs and were instead conditioned to prioritize the needs of their parents."- Lindsay C. Gibson

By discussing your partner’s mistakes with your family, you risk creating a negative image of your partner in their minds that can be difficult to change. This can cause tension and conflict between your partner and your family, which can strain your relationship with both parties. Therefore, it is recommended that you try to resolve issues within your relationship with your partner directly, without involving your family unless it is absolutely necessary.

Please note- this does not work in cases of abuse/ domestic violence.
