Steam distillation stands out as the most favored technique for extracting essential oils. It capitalizes on steam to transform volatile compounds within plant parts into v***r, ultimately collecting them as essential oil through a cooling and condensation process.
Extraction Steps:
Preparation of Plant Parts: The intact plant parts are carefully added to a sizable container.
Steam Introduction: Steam is then introduced to the container, initiating the v***rization of volatile compounds within the plant.
V***r Ascension: The v***rized compounds, carried by steam, rise to the top of the container.
Condensation Unit: The steam and v***rized plant matter are guided through a pipe into a condensation unit.
Cooling Process: Within the condensation unit, cold water circulates to cool down the steam and v***rized material, returning them to a liquid state.
Separation Stage: The now-liquefied mixture, enriched with essential oil, is directed into a separator.
Oil and Water Division: Due to the distinct properties of oil and water, they donโt mix. The separated phases are siphoned off individually.
Final Oil Extraction: The resultant oil, now separate from water, encapsulates all the inherent properties and phytonutrients of the original plant.
This detailed steam distillation process ensures the extraction of a high-quality essential oil, rich in the essence of the parent plant and suitable for various applications in aromatherapy, perfumery, and holistic well-being.
As our suppliers are certified, there is guaranteed no chemicals or pesticides being used throughout the growing of the plants and the extraction process. This is confirmed as each batch is analysed by microbiologist for the presence of bio-hazardous micro-organisms (such as bacteria and mould), heavy metals and pesticides. Therefore, each one of our oils is 100% pure and organic and does not contain carrier oils, chemicals or fragrances other than from the plant itself.
