Once upon a time, in a small village nestled between towering mountains and lush forests, lived a young girl named Mei. Mei was known for her kindness and hard work, but despite her efforts, she was plagued by misfortune. Crops she tended withered, animals she cared for fell ill, and the weather seemed to conspire against her.

One day, an old monk passing through the village noticed Mei’s sorrowful demeanor and inquired about her troubles. After listening patiently, he nodded thoughtfully and handed her a small white lotus flower. "This is no ordinary flower," he explained. "It symbolizes purity and enlightenment. Embrace it, and it will guide you to purify your misfortune."
