We at SIA Medical are so proud of our very own Dr Richard SIA becoming the GP Liaison Officer at Northern Health. In his role he is able identify and implement strategies that will improve the continuity of care and communication between Northern Health and General Practitioners.

He aims to take this knowledge and perspective into our monthly General Practitioner talks to provide value to the General Practitioners working in our SIA Medical clinics.

In connection with with Fight Cancer Foundation's Footy Colours Day, SIA Medical believes that early detection is very vital in fighting Childhood cancers.
Many cancers in children are found early, either by a child’s doctor or by parents or relatives. But cancers in children can be hard to recognize right away because early symptoms are often like those caused by much more common illnesses or injuries. Children often get sick or have bumps or bruises that might mask the early signs of cancer.
Cancer in children is not common, but it’s important to have your child checked by a doctor if they have unusual signs or symptoms that do not go away.
