HOBART, TASMANIA workshop: I'm very excited to be running a one-day workshop in Hobart on Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT) with Children and Adolescents.

ACT is an evidence-based therapy that can be used effectively with children and adolescents for a wide range of issues. This highly practical workshop will introduce you to the ACT Kidflex: a developmentally appropriate adaptation of the ACT Hexaflex suitable for use with children and adolescents.

This workshop teaches ACT in plain, easy to understand language.
You will learn how to use ACT with children and adolescents, develop an ACT case conceptualization, work with parents, and provide recommendations to parents/caregivers and teachers. A variety of engaging, creative and easy to use activities will be taught.

I'm the author of ACT FOR TREATING CHILDREN and THE ACT WORKBOOK FOR KIDS, and have 20 years' experience as a school psychologist and 23 years' experience in private practice. I'm very passionate about using ACT with young people.

I'm very excited to be running two online workshops on ACT with children and adolescents. The workshop is being run twice: in April from 6pm-9.15pm Australian Eastern Standard Time, and in May from 9am-12.15pm Australian Eastern Standard Time.

Both the April and May workshops are held over two sessions, each session goes for three hours 15 minutes (with a short break during each session).

Workshops will be recorded and a link to the recording will be sent to all participants. You don't have to watch live to access the recording.
