NOW YOU SEE IT - NOW YOU DON’T! 🪄🪄

Are your kids (& maybe hubbies/partners) fussy eaters??

I’ve got x2 boys 17, 20 & x2 girls 11, 13 (plus hubby of course!) Trying to get them to eat any veggies other than carrots, peas and potatoes 🥕🫛 🥔 is near impossible!

BUT I’VE FINALLY FOUND A WAY! 🎉

For over 12mths I’ve been following a health & wellness program and taking wholefood nutritional supplements daily to ‘bridge the gap’. The supplements don’t replace healthy eating they just enhance it! Each serve contains a blend of nutrients from 30 different fruit, veggies & berries. 'My son Dj was diagnosed with ADHD when he was 6 years old. He was always noisy, couldn't keep still and had a hard time focusing. 💖

Before his diagnosis, we thought he was just being a boy but as he got older, we saw that he just couldn't keep still or focus for too long. He was easily distracted.🤔

We took him off sugar and tried healthier meals but none of this worked.😔

After a long thought of 6 months. We decided to try medication. We saw huge improvements in his behaviour and his academic performance. However, the side effects were not good on his health.

THE STRUGGLE IS REAL!!

If you are sick & tired of packing healthy school lunchboxes only to have them return home untouched then this post might be for you?!

Every child has their own tastes and preferences. Take the pressure off by experimenting with different lunchboxes each week and ask them which fruits or veggies they liked the best (not which ones they didn't!) Help keep them focused on the good and checkout these tips and tricks! 😜

🫐 Pack ½ fresh – Fill half the box with chopped or sliced fresh fruits & veggies. Kids and teens are more likely to eat these when cut up into finger food sized pieces. Smaller pieces are also easier for a younger child to swallow.

🌈 Make it colourful – the more colours, the more enticing it will be to eat. Make it insta-worthy. Rainbows get extra points!

🍊Texture is important – have something
juicy, crunchy and creamy.

❌ No forcing, more exploring – it takes at least 5-7 times for a child to develop the taste for something. So, don’t force them… let them taste & eventually, they will find the fruits & veggies they love.

EASY SPAG BOLG SAUCE🍝

If you struggle to get veggies into your kids this recipe is a great option!! I also grate or blend a whole heap of vegies in the NutriBullet (thanks for that tip Elise Taylor-Milne!) plus I open up our veggie capsules and throw them in too (that’s nutrients from another 11 varieties of veggies)

Best bit - the kids have no idea!! 🤫🤫

INGREDIENTS
• 1 brown onion - diced
• 2 cloves garlic - crushed
• 2 carrots - grated/blended
• 1 zucchini - grated/blended
• 1 can organic diced tomatoes
• 1 bottle organic tomato passata
• 1 tsp dried oregano
• 1 tbs dried thyme
• 500g organic minced beef
• himalayan salt and pepper to taste chopped basil to serve

METHOD
• Heat a pan over medium high heat and add coconut oil.
• Brown onion and garlic then add dried herbs and coat.

Add all ingredients into a slow cooker and cook on low for 6-8 hours. Stir through basil before serving with your favourite pasta or try zucchini/carrot noodles.
