Our team has expanded again here at MoveWell! Meet our newest Physiotherapist Brittany 👋

Brittany completed her Master of Physiotherapy at Swinburne University, following a Bachelor of Science at Monash University. She has experience across both hospital and private practice settings, with clinical interests in musculoskeletal and orthopaedic rehabilitation, neurological conditions, and injury prevention across both sporting and everyday activities.

She also brings a strong background in sports injury management through her roles as Head Sports Trainer with the Footscray Rugby Union Football Club and Darebin Falcons VFLW, and is currently the Head Physiotherapist for the Glen Eira/Old McKinnon Gryphons Football Club women’s team.

In our ONERO osteoporosis classes, we focus on high-intensity resistance and impact training to strengthen bone and muscle. Here is an example of an advanced core exercise, in a weight bearing position, that we may do in one of our ONERO classes.

Tendons LOVE load!

Here we have one of our Physiotherapists, Nick, walking a patient through a great exercise for gluteal tendon pain and hip bursitis. Research shows that applying targeted load to the gluteal tendon helps reduce pain and regain muscle function in and around the hip.

Meet Catherine, our newest physiotherapist here at MoveWell!

Catherine holds a Master of Physiotherapy from Swinburne University and a Bachelor of Nursing. With 20 years of experience in the fitness industry, she has a strong focus on injury prevention and rehabilitation, incorporating a range of techniques including Pilates.

She has a particular interest in supporting women’s health across the lifespan, experience in sports training and works with adolescent swimmers and dancers to prevent injury. Outside of the clinic, Catherine enjoys swimming, reading, and spending weekends at local sporting events with her husband, three children and dog.
