Dr Rashika Gomez, Clinical Psychologist, is the Founder and Owner of Open Mind Psych. She has her Bachelor of Arts (Psychology Honours) from Carleton College, USA, and her Master of Clinical Psychology and PhD from the University of Melbourne.
Rashika has been working in private practice for over 10 years. She has previously worked at the University of Melbourne, the Royal Children’s Hospital, t
he Monash Medical Centre, and Foundation House.
Rashika works with patients of all ages (including children and the elderly) and a wide range of presentations including, but not limited to, anxiety and panic disorders, depression, stress, bereavement, trauma, and PTSD. In particular she works with new mothers, victims of domestic abuse, individuals going through separation, and adjustment issues. She provides services for TAC, WorkSafe, and NDIS clients.
Rashika is warm and compassionate and finely tuned to catering treatment towards the client’s specific needs and issues. While she uses a Cognitive Behaviour Therapy framework, she is mindful of adopting a holistic approach in treating her patients.
