πŸ’™ Warm up - our muscles, joints and heart need to wake up too!
πŸ’™ Check your footwear - whether your using gym shoes or runners, check your feet! Older shoes can be worn out and load your foot incorrectly. Even "running" runners can be too cushioned for gym sessions. Check your footwear and limit your injury risk!
πŸ’™ Gradually load - even taking 1-2 weeks off detrains us. Slow progression = less injury

πŸ’ͺ Staying active during pregnancy πŸ’ͺ

Congratulations! It can be a bit overwhelming with all the information out there but here are three main things we want you to remember when it comes to exercising during your pregnancy.

*For an uncomplicated low risk pregnancy

βœ…Moderate exercise on most days of the week for 30 minutes+
βœ…Two strength sessions a week
βœ… If you were doing things before pregnancy it's ok to continue during pregnancy (with safety considerations)

Parkrun is a timed 5km free community event every Saturday at 8am! Our local ones are and that are beautiful trails! We absolutely love doing these weekend routes πŸ’™

One of the best parts about Parkrun is the atmosphere. There's no pressure, no ego and lots of smiles!

All powered by volunteers too which makes it more special.

It's (roughly) 3 months til Christmas. If you worked on being consistent in anything - your rehab, a daily lunch walk, your physical or mental health - by 2025 you will definitely see a change.

It doesn't need to be a big change, you are more likely to get improvements by being consistent over time.
