Speech therapy is about more than just “speech.”
It’s about helping children connect, express, and feel understood — in whatever way works best for their body and brain.

Our speech pathologists work closely with families to support communication, feeding, early language and school readiness.

In a world that pushes constant progress, rest can feel like resistance.
But for children — and for us — rest is where regulation, creativity and healing happen.

Slowing down isn’t falling behind.
It’s a vital part of moving forward with care.

Therapy is a space to be fully, safely, joyfully themselves.

At Be Kids, we honour the way your child moves through the world - in play, in pauses, in noise, in stillness.

Our job isn’t to “fix” or change your child, it’s to help them feel safe, understood and supported exactly as they are.

Every child is welcome here.

The start of the school year can bring up lots of unexpected behaviours - all of which are signs your child is seeking safety, not failing. You’re not overreacting. And your child isn’t the only one struggling to adjust.

If things feel harder than expected, you’re not alone.
We’re here if you’d like support.

Noticing new challenges at school? Let’s talk early.

Sometimes it takes a few weeks for certain challenges to show up - trouble settling, big emotions, school refusal, or behaviour changes at home.

That doesn’t mean you’ve done anything wrong. It just means they’re adapting, and it’s okay to need extra support.

We’re here to help make sense of what you’re noticing and offer strategies that meet your child where they are.

This Valentine’s Day, let’s celebrate love in its simplest form - regulation, presence and connection.

Love looks like:
🫶 Noticing behaviours and patterns
🧠 Learning your child’s sensory profile
💛 Holding space for the hard moments, too

You’re already showing love, every day.

Play isn’t a break from learning. It is learning. And it’s often how children communicate what they can’t yet explain.

At Be Kids, we use play as both a tool and a language, especially for children navigating change, anxiety, trauma or neurodivergence.

Want to learn more about how play can support your child’s growth? Let’s talk.

The first few weeks of school can feel like a rollercoaster — for kids and parents alike.

Don’t worry if your afternoons are messy.
Don’t panic if bedtime is harder.
Don’t assume they’re not coping just because it looks bumpy.

You’re adjusting. They’re adjusting.
Be kind to yourself while it happens.

Separation anxiety is a normal part of development, especially during times of change, like the start of a new school year.

If your child is having a hard time letting go in the mornings, try offering:
💛 Predictable goodbye rituals
💛 Visual cues (e.g. “I’ll be back after story time”)
💛 A special item to hold or wear
💛 Gentle validation: “It’s okay to miss me. I’ll come back.”

If you’d like support with what you’re noticing, we’re here to help.
