With international fellowship training, he specialises in facial aesthetic (cosmetic) rejuvenation and reconstructive surgery (brow, face, neck, eyes, ears, and nose) and also performs a range of other surgical procedures

He is a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons, the Australian Society of Plastic Surgeons, the Australasian Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons, and International Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons. QPS University 2023

We recently spent a couple of days at the beautiful Mitchelton Wines for our very first Queens_Parade_Specialists University conference. The two days were packed with education and innovation, with presentations from myself, Dr_sophia_richardson, and everyone else on our team!

After a lovely meal together at the Muse restaurant, we were lucky enough to be able to visit the Mitchelton Gallery of Aboriginal Art.

We’re so proud of the dedicated team we have and had so much fun learning from each other. We’re already looking forward to next year’s ✨

25th Annual Aesthetic Plastic Surgery Workshop

Just finished an inspiring 2 days at the 25th Annual Aesthetic Plastic Surgery Workshop with internationally renowned guest speakers Dr Chia Chi Kao 🇺🇸, Dr Hunt Neurohr 🇺🇸, and Dr Bryan Mendelson 🇦🇺, looking at the latest nuances of facelift (rhytidectomy/meloplasty) and facial surgery.

It was lovely to be back with friends and colleagues, after a 3-year hiatus due to the pandemic.

DEEP PLANE FACELIFT (Rhytidectomy/Meloplasty)

A deep plane facelift targets structures below the SMAS (Superficial Muscular Aponeurotic System), also known as the ‘deep plane’. This technique involves careful dissection and release of ligaments and tissue planes to allow repositioning of muscle, fat, and skin to lift the soft tissue. Because there is no tension on the skin, a deep plane facelift provides a more natural appearance than other methods that only lift skin which can create a tight and unnatural appearance.

The deep plane approach is considered one of the most effective ways to lift the mid- and lower-face, nasolabial folds and jowls. It is common for a facelift to be performed with a neck lift (cervicoplasty) for a harmonious result.

FACIAL SURGERY DAY.

Setting up for an all-day cosmetic facial surgery case. This includes, in order, an Upper Lip Lift, Lateral Temporal Lift (Brow Lift), Upper Blepharoplasty, Lower Blepharoplasty with septal release and fat transposition, Neck Lift (Cervicoplasty) with Platysmaplasty, Deep Plane Facelift (Rhytidectomy/Meloplasty) and Fat Grafting. We have a Scrub Nurse who assists and controls all of the instruments, a Surgical Assistant to assist me perform the procedure, and a Scout Nurse to get equipment and dressings that are required.
