Crank’s Cybersecurity CTF Team Secures a Top 75 Finish!

Over the weekend of March 1st–2nd, Crank’s Capture the Flag (CTF) Team competed against 774 teams, placing an impressive 62nd!

🔹 Highlights:

13 flags solved
2,902 points scored
Grace earned the team’s first-ever First Blood achievement (first to solve a challenge)
Sarah captained the team for the first time
For the first time, the crew made it into the prize pool—a huge milestone!

📌 CTF Leadership Quest Achievements:
✅ Grace & Blake: Solved a flag worth 400+ points
✅ Sarah: Led the team to a 1,000+ point finish as captain

Amazing effort from everyone involved—excited to see what’s next!

Today, we’re celebrating the incredible creativity of Rando!

Rando has been hard at work testing the Baldur’s Gate 3 modding toolkit and creating mods for Baldur’s Gate 3. As a result, they earned a spot in the game’s credits—an amazing achievement!

What an incredible weekend at Kaicon STA!

We had an amazing time taking some of our crew to Kaicon, where they explored vendors, admired incredible cosplayers, and, of course, collected plenty of loot!

A special shoutout to Ben, who took a huge step in his creative journey by running his first-ever artist stall! Ben has been designing original character art for badge designs and turned them into physical products to sell at the event. His dedication and entrepreneurial spirit are truly inspiring!

Today, we’re celebrating the incredible creativity of Jacob!

Jacob typically works on one song per session, and recently, we’ve been exploring themed compositions inspired by the elements—earth, fire, wind, and water. Over the past month, he’s brought fresh ideas and impressive skills in Ableton to each track, with "fire" emerging as his favorite. His passion and growth as a music producer continue to shine in every session!

Today, we’re showcasing the incredible talent of Hugo!

Hugo has recreated the Crank logo using his NES (Nintendo Entertainment System) and a program called CrossPaint for pixel art, displaying it beautifully on his CRT monitor. He’s put in fantastic work refining his pixel art skills in his own time, and it’s amazing to see what our crew can achieve.

Today, we’re shining the spotlight on one of our incredibly talented crew members, Harry!

Harry has been hard at work crafting a stunning animated campsite from the ground up. With intricate particle effects, dynamic lighting, and detailed texturing, he’s brought his vision to life and successfully completed the rendering process.

We’re so proud of Harry’s creativity, dedication, and hard work. We can’t wait to see where this journey takes them next. Let’s keep pushing boundaries and achieving greatness together!

Shoutout to our amazing crew at Crank! We're so proud of the incredible work our team is doing, and today we’re highlighting one of our standout members, Tamsin is an aspiring concept artist who mainly works with clip studio paint, and some Photoshop on the side. Currently she has been working with pixel art and environmental design shown in her recent pieces.
