The ability to remove yourself is one of the most overlooked forms of self-respect.

This boundary work in action is recognising when a dynamic is no longer emotionally safe or equitable and choosing to exit rather than explain.

People often confuse endurance with virtue believing that staying in toxic, one-sided, or emotionally draining situations somehow proves loyalty or strength.

But in reality, what it often proves is a disconnection from the self.

You are not meant to be the sacrifice in someone else’s comfort zone.

As said in one of his Reiki Precepts
✨ Be compassionate to yourself☝🏻and others.
