One quick little add in for the highlight reel.
I was very reluctant to post this incase I cannot manage the workload (genuinely feel nauseous posting but here goes!)
To my clients: thank you for being patient, many of you knew the workload/stress I was juggling for sometime with the clinic, studying towards my goal and working as a paramedic with ambulance vic. Last Christmas you enabled me to go back to do chemistry+ maths methods and sit my proctored exam in the clinic when my wifi went down (mid exam, yikes!)
You were patient when I rescheduled appointments, changed my availability due to the Gamsat (twice) and even the umat!
Never, did anyone you give me grief all of you just cheered me on from the sidelines and I’m forever grateful.
They say it takes a village to raise a doctor and I wanted to take a moment to thank my clinic village!
To Steven who was my MD reference I’m forever grateful.
To Brodie, who stepped up and became Clinic Manager (that probably should have been a highlight of its own) I’m forever grateful for you, your organisation and friendship. All of you would have seen Brodie come into my appointment after hers to help me with notes, drawing up medication and getting me ready for the next part of the day.
To Chloe, who has stepped up in more ways than one. For those of you who don’t know already Chloe has been the backbone of this account, she created a shared CapCut folder to make my day that little bit easier, constantly shares ideas (IYKYK) (she taught me what that ment too, lol!) Chloe I’m grateful for you being thrown in the deep end and thriving clinically, always wanting to better yourself and your friendship too.
Tim, my biggest support. Always telling me I can, when (I still) think I can’t. From being present for all the tears, driving me to several exams, falling asleep on the couch so I didn’t study up by myself at midnight, the daily pep talks- you’re my person and I’m very lucky.
To all of you, you are all the medicine- 💊
The good news- I will still be treating ! My availability will be slightly reduced the first 3 months and I’ll open up a bit more the more as soon as I’ve adjusted 🫶🏼
