🌿 BABY & ESSENTIAL OILS (6+ MONTHS)
👶 When can essential oils be used with babies?
Essential oils should never be used on newborns.
From 6 months of age, only a very small selection of essential oils may be introduced, gently and with correct dilution.
BABY-SAFE ESSENTIAL OILS (6+ months):
✔️ Lavender (Lavandula angustifolia)
✔️ Roman Chamomile (Chamaemelum nobile)
These oils are known for their calming properties and are commonly used by trained aromatherapists for babies.
BABY SAFE DIY – FOOT MASSAGE (6+ months)
🌿 You will need:
• 10 ml carrier oil (sweet almond or jojoba)
• 1 drop Lavender OR Roman Chamomile essential oil
✨ Mix well
✨ Apply a very small amount to baby’s feet
✨ Massage gently before bedtime
✨ Stop immediately if baby shows any discomfort
WHY THE FEET?
The feet are a safer area, far from the airways,
making them ideal for gentle baby routines 🤍
Aromatherapy for babies is about less, not more.
Safety always comes first.
