As you are aware our mighty Aidyn was diagnosed with CF as a baby, we have witnessed first hand the struggle Aidyn and his family deal with on a daily basis with this disease.

May is cystic fibrosis awareness month! 💜

For us, every month is cf awareness because we love someone who needs a cure.
We fight for health, work for support and pray for a cure.

During may we are reminded to SHOUT OUT to the world to spread AWARENESS!
Help us fight, help us win so everyone with CF has a fighting chance 💜

How is cystic fibrosis managed?
While CF cannot be cured, there are treatments to manage it.

People with CF must consume up to 60 pills a day to help them digest food, and may do up to 4 hours of physiotherapy every day.

Management usually involves:

physiotherapy every day to clear the lungs
capsules to replace enzymes to help digest food
antibiotics for lung infections
puffers to open the airways
salt and vitamin supplements
a special diet
Some people with CF will need a lung transplant to prolong their lives. Other may need a liver or pancreas transplant.
