About Us...
Aaron and Samantha first met in 2012 here in Melbourne, in the gym of course! Aaron originally was born in New Zealand, near the Bay of Islands. He came to Melbourne when he was 8 years old and located around the Frankston area. Samantha has always grown up in Melbourne, in the beach side suburb of Mordialloc.
It wasn’t until 2014 they officially started dated and Aaron moved into Mordialloc with Sam. Aaron was a full time personal trainer, doing 70+ sessions in the gym a week. Samantha had just finished her personal training certs, but was working as a full time Orthodontic Manager. December 2016 a few days before Christmas, Aaron proposed to Samantha. They then had the most beautiful wedding in Bali in August 2017. Now being married for almost three years, with their big fur baby, Boss (French Mastiff).
Aaron finished year 12 just missing out on making it into Medical Science, he then decided to go into Aeronautical Engineering but soon switched into Exercise Science, which is where he found his passion. Aaron has a degree in Exercise Science with honors. His intelligence and willing to learn is mind blowing. Samantha on the other hand is the total opposite to Aaron, she grew up hating school but loving work. She always learned hands on. Dental Nursing was her full time job and then she moved into management of an Orthodontist Practice. She became a personal trainer in 2014, and that’s when Aaron and Sam opened their first facility.
Aaron and Sam have always had personal training studios on the side, using it as more of a hobby rather than a job. Just before they got married, they decided enough was enough, this is what we love and they opened Shedlock Training Systems in the heart of Mordialloc. Shedlock Training Systems has been running for 2 years, but just over 18 months in our own facility.
