Is your motivation low this Monday.

It could be due to low Vitamin B12.

Low vitamin B12 levels can contribute to fatigue and low motivation as this nutrient supports neurotransmitter production and the insulation of neurons.

This means that maintaining adequate vitamin B12 levels is crucial to ensure neurotransmitters in the brain such as dopamine and serotonin function optimally.

Vitamin B12 is found in all animal based products such as meat, fish and eggs and can also be supplemented if appropriate.

Research has shown that having a consistent sleep routine can improve melatonin production and support sleep.

A few tips include having a consistent sleep and wake time, ensuring your room is dark and a comfortable temperatur, dimming lights in the evening and avoiding screens such as TVs, computers and smart phones a few hours before bed.

Our naturopaths also love having a herbal tea and a magnesium bath to wind down before bed.

Why did you become a naturopath?
My path to becoming a naturopath started with my own personal health journey and the work I was doing with my naturopath! This grew my appreciation and passion for natural medicine as I saw firsthand the benefits it was having. I wanted to be able to help others in the same way someone had helped me.

Special interests?
Women's health - periods, PCOS, endometriosis, preconception & pregnancy.
Gut health & digestion.
Stress, anxiety & energy.

Favourite herb
Tricky question! It changes but at the moment I would say Passionflower. A great herb for supporting the nervous system and managing anxiety.

Favourite product?
I love using liquid herbs but also can't go past a good quality magnesium!

Book an appointment with Sheree in clinic, or come in store to chat with her about how she can best support your health and wellness.

Meet our Naturopaths

Lauren is in store Monday - Thursday and our team love her calm nature.

Find out more about Lauren below

Why did you become a naturopath?
I've always been interested in nutrition and natural medicine, but decided to study naturopathy because I saw so many women close to me struggling with debilitating hormonal and menstrual related symptoms. I really feel that nutritional and herbal medicine can offer so much support for these issues.

Special interests?
Hormonal conditions such as polycystic ovarian syndrome, premenstrual syndrome, painful and heavy periods
Gut health including irritable bowel syndrome and food intolerances
Energy, stress management, anxiety and sleep concerns

Favourite herb
At the moment it's Rhodiola, which is a beautiful adaptogen we use for stress support and energy.

Favourite product?
This is forever changing but is currently the Vera's L-theanine (a practitioner only product). L-theanine is an amino acid found in green tea which works to calm the nervous system so is great for anxiety.

Book an appointment with Lauren in clinic on a Tuesday or come in store to chat with her about your health and wellness needs.

Did you know that Quercetin is a strong anti oxidant which means it helps to reduce inflammation throughout your body?

Inflammation can be the root cause of a number of illnesses.

Over time, chronic inflammation can trigger your immune system to attack healthy tissue and organs in your body and if left untreated, prolonged chronic inflammation can increase your risk for diseases like diabetes, heart disease and rheumatoid arthritis.

Chat to our Naturopaths about your health and wellness needs and to see if Quercetain is right for you.
