Healthy Body 💪 is a lot of the times the result of a Healthy Mind 🧠
One of the greatest secrets of releasing any past hurt and trauma that may be trapped in your mind and body is through crying 😭.
Please note - this is a not a negative post, and that there is actually nothing wrong with crying. It's 100% natural emotional response that we have forgotten to listen to. The main point is, if you feel it, it means you need to feel it. Don't repress it, otherwise it will turn into tension stored in the mind and body.
The Benefits of crying:
💧Emotional Release: Crying can be a form of emotional release, known as catharsis. It allows you to express deep emotions, especially those that might be difficult to articulate verbally. This release can alleviate emotional tension and stress, contributing to a sense of relief or lightness afterwards.
💧Physiological Benefit: Crying can activate the parasympathetic nervous system, which helps your body rest and digest. This can lead to a soothing feeling after a crying episode, contributing to stress reduction and a sense of calm.
💧Communication: Tears can also be a powerful nonverbal way to communicate vulnerability, sadness, or need for support. This can prompt empathy and support from others, which is crucial in the healing process.
💧Biochemical Effects: Crying can help reduce the body's level of manganese, a mineral which affects mood and is found in higher levels in tears. Additionally, emotional tears contain stress hormones and other toxins. Crying may help expel these, suggesting a chemical benefit that can improve mood and reduce stress.
💧Validation of Feelings: Allowing oneself to cry can validate internal emotional experiences, acknowledging that the trauma and its associated feelings are real and significant. This validation is an important step in the healing journey.
Please note there are other methods available also in healing if you find yourself struggling with heavy repressed emotions. We recommend counselling with a professional.
