Baxter Cleaning Services Statement on Covid 19 Cleaning Protocols.
We take standards for hygiene and cleanliness very seriously and are taking steps to ensure the safety of our clients and associates. The Company has been closely monitoring the Centres for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and World Health Organization statements regarding the coronavirus (COVID-19). On a daily basis, we are working to ensure that we meet the latest guidance on hygiene and cleaning. Baxter Cleaning Services health and safety measures are designed to address a broad spectrum of viruses, including COVID-19, and include everything from handwashing hygiene and cleaning product specifications to offices and common area cleaning procedures. Specific steps BCS is taking include:
Associate Health, Safety and Knowledge: All sites – and their own health, safety and knowledge – are essential to an effective cleaning program. Here are some ways we’re supporting them:
Hand sanitiser stations have been or are in the process of being installed throughout our sites using Antibacterial Hand Sanitiser Gel with an active ingredient: 75% Alcohol.
ALL surfaces in receptions, kitchens, bathrooms, common areas, display rooms, board rooms, offices and workstations (where possible) are wiped down and disinfected.
Every light switch, door handle, fridge doors, microwave doors and handles are disinfected using Antibacterial detergents killing 99% of germs and viruses
Hand Hygiene: Proper and frequent handwashing is vital to help combat the spread of viruses. In our daily meetings, our teams are reminded that cleanliness starts with this simple act. It’s important for their health and that of our clients.
Ongoing Training: In addition to training on housekeeping and hygiene protocols, our clients are also completing enhanced COVID-19 awareness training.
Cleaning Products and Protocols: We work with our partners and suppliers to make sure we can procure and use virus-killing products approved by the Australian Environmental Protection Agency as well as the protective equipment need for our operations. BCS use cleaning products and protocols which are effective against viruses, including:
Office Areas: BCS use cleaning and disinfecting protocols to clean office areas after staff depart and before the next business day with particular attention paid to high-touch areas.
Common Areas: The ability to increase the frequency of cleaning if advised by our clients and disinfecting in common areas, with a focus on the counter at the front desk, elevators (and elevator buttons), door handles and bathrooms.
Event Notification: If we are alerted to a case of COVID-19 at one of our sites, we immediately work with the relevant health authorities to obtain the facts and guidance on steps to take with both office staff and their visitors. We undertake an additional cleaning and disinfecting protocol of the common areas of the offices as well as the areas we know the staff has been during the time at work. In addition, we undertake a room recovery protocol that is designed to disinfect everything in the room including sanitizing the air.

Cover your cough and sneeze, dispose of tissues, and use alcohol-based hand sanitiser, and
If unwell, avoid contact with others (touching, kissing, hugging, and other intimate contact).
More information - While coronavirus is of concern, it is important to remember that most people displaying symptoms such as fever, cough, sore throat or tiredness are likely suffering with a cold or other respiratory illness—not coronavirus.
