There’s something deeply soothing about the warmth of smooth stones gliding over tired muscles - especially during pregnancy or in the early weeks postpartum.

✨ Hot stone massage gently combines heat and touch to relax the body and calm the nervous system. It can be a beautiful way to support your changing body through every stage.

🌿 During pregnancy, stones are used with care - warm not hot - to:
~ Ease back, hip, and shoulder tension
~ Promote circulation and lymphatic flow
~ Soothe the nervous system and encourage deep rest

💆🏽‍♀️ Postpartum, this warmth helps to:
~ Melt away muscular tightness from feeding, carrying and cuddling
~ Support hormone balance and recovery
~ Encourage blood flow and grounding in your new body

The element of heat invites presence - reminding the body it’s safe to soften again. 🧡

Have you ever experienced a hot stone massage before? How did it make your body feel?

What’s one meal you’d love to have made for you in those early postpartum weeks? 🍲

When I prepare meals during in-home visits, it’s always a bit different - sometimes I offer ideas or recipe suggestions, other times my clients share their favourite dishes for me to recreate. They usually source ingredients before I arrive, so I can cook exactly what they’re craving.

I’ve cooked alongside older kids, chatted with mums while they feed, worn a sleeping baby in a carrier while preparing food, and cooked quietly while mum and baby rest together. 💛

Support comes in many forms, and it never looks the same twice. Flexibility is at the heart of how I work - so each visit meets the family’s unique needs, whether that’s nourishment, rest, or connection.

💬 Tell me - what’s your ultimate comfort meal for the postpartum weeks?

The ending of my time with a postpartum family is always bittersweet. To witness parents growing in their confidence and capacity to care for their baby - and for themselves - is such a privilege.

To hold space for the tender adjustment, the challenges and hurdles, and to honour the sweet moments amidst waves of change feels deeply humbling. As families find their rhythm and steady footing in new terrain, I’m reminded just how sacred this work is.

Summer often invites spontaneity - but in the thick of motherhood, chaos can so easily eclipse connection if we’re not anchored to something steady.

Simple rituals - those tiny, repeatable acts - can become the threads that hold a family together.

Maybe it’s stepping outside with your baby as the sky softens at sunset, breathing together for a single quiet moment. Or lighting a candle at dinner and naming one small gratitude, even on the tired days. These aren’t tasks for your list; they’re gentle pauses that whisper, “Here we are, together.”

Rituals give rhythm to our days without demanding more of us. They grow quietly, almost unnoticed, until one day you realise - this is the structure your heart leans into.

✨ What tiny daily ritual might you choose this week to anchor connection?

🌿 Where in your day could you slow down and let a moment become quietly sacred?

Pause there. Let the simplicity be enough - you’re already weaving connection with every small act of care.

During a recent postpartum visit, I was celebrating a mum who’d set herself up with a moveable trolley - a simple but genius way to keep everything she needed close by while feeding and tending to her baby.

The trolley held all the essentials that bring comfort and calm to those long days (and nights): snacks, water, breast pads, nappies, wipes, burp cloths, spare onesies, a changing mat… the works.

It’s often hard to imagine what you’ll need in those early weeks, but having a go-to setup - whether it’s a trolley or a well-stocked basket — can make a big difference in creating flow and ease in your space.

I’d love to know - what were your essential items that brought you more comfort, ease or function during postpartum?

The body carries so much through pregnancy and the early weeks of parenting - tenderness, fatigue, anticipation, love in all its intensity.

Whether you’re in those last days before birth, preparing gently with an induction massage, or navigating the layered recovery and demands of postpartum life, massage can offer a moment to reconnect - to soften into your changing body, release held tension, and remember what support feels like when it’s truly for you.

I offer in-home sessions for ease and comfort, or you can visit me at Hatched House in Hawthorn .house for some dedicated quiet time just for you.

Head to my website to learn more or to book your next appointment - your body deserves to be met with care.

Mums and babies yoga is such a beautiful way to move, connect, and breathe together 🤍

These classes aren’t just about gentle movement (though your body will thank you for that!). They’re a space to rebuild strength, nurture your nervous system, and bond with your little one - all while surrounded by other mums who get it.

It’s as much about the conversations before and after class as it is the yoga itself - that shared smile, that ‘me too’ moment, that reminder that you’re not doing this alone.

Join each Thursday at Mama .au in Kensington from 9:45–10:45am and be part of this supportive, heart-led community.

Somewhere between meal prep, school runs and the endless mental list, play can quietly slip away. Yet your nervous system - and your child’s - longs for those light, silly, unproductive moments.

Play isn’t a luxury or a reward for finishing your to-do list. It’s nourishment. It reminds your body that you are more than what you get done and shows your child they are safe, seen and connected.

Let play be small. A song at the change table. A kitchen dance. A shared giggle in the car. You don’t need more time, just tiny openings for joy to flow through.

What’s one playful moment you could welcome into your day today? ✨

Since supporting this mama through her postpartum journey, I’ve found myself diving deeply into the world of teas - discovering not just their flavours, but their power to soothe, ground, and reconnect.

In the haze of newborn life, it can feel hard to reclaim what feels familiar. Through gentle emotional support, my focus has been on creating a space that invite safety, passion, and a renewed sense of identity.

During one of my recent visits, we shared a tea ceremony - a mindful ritual that engaged all the senses and invited her to come home to herself. Together, we explored what feels safe and what feels overwhelming, using insights from Grounded Mothers and the simple framework of DIMS and SIMS (factors influencing danger or safety in the nervous system). These reflections opened up beautiful conversations about what brings her joy, peace, and creativity once more.

It’s been such a privilege to witness her reconnect with the things she loves - one thoughtful sip at a time. 🌿💛

As he turns five, I can feel his light stretching - wide, wild, and free. There’s a spirit in him that moves with curiosity, untamed by the noise of the world, confident and bold yet soft enough to wilt and bloom all in the same breath. The dance of mother and child keeps evolving, pulling, softening, teaching. He has been my mirror and my undoing, showing me the edges that needed gentleness and the layers ready to unravel, making space for a truer version of me to breathe.

As he steps into his fifth trip around the sun, I can’t help but think of this image of him on the track, moving from lane four to lane five - so symbolic of his own quiet transformation and the way he keeps moving forward, growing in all directions. Here’s to more wonder, more wild, and more room to simply be - for both of us.

How receptive and open are you to relying on others?

In pregnancy, the body becomes a living example of reliance - the heartbeat of another life moving in rhythm with our own. It reminds us that not everything needs to be controlled or even understood. Growth happens quietly, in the trust between what we can see and what we simply have to believe.

Reliance invites us to soften into that trust. To lean into the support that holds us - the floor beneath our mat, the breath that carries us, the people and systems that walk alongside us through change.

As we step into motherhood, reliance continues to whisper: it’s safe to be supported. It’s safe to ask for help. We are not meant to do this alone. Just as the body relies on rest to restore, the heart relies on connection to stay open.

In your practice and beyond, may you feel into this kind of trust - the steady, unseen boundary of love that surrounds you. May reliance remind you that strength and surrender coexist beautifully, and that every moment of letting go can also be an act of deep receiving.

We explore this theme and much more in my prenatal and postnatal offerings - head to my website to learn of spaces to connect with myself, and a beautiful community of mums and babes all navigating this season. Link in bio 🌿

Softly witnessing a mama find her way in the blur of 24‑hour newborn life. Baby unsettled, days and nights bleeding into each other as she navigates the haze of sleep deprivation and constant tending.

Her body, still tender after a C‑section, makes even the simplest tasks feel like climbing a mountain, let alone caring for a newborn. No one really prepares you for how vulnerable and sensitive your body and heart can feel after birth, especially after surgery.

Grief, shock, love and overwhelm can all sit side by side in this early postpartum liminal space. This season is a threshold: who she was and who she is becoming as mother, both present in the same tender room.

Support here looks like being held in your feelings, having your experience witnessed, and being reminded that nothing about you is failing. It is warm food, gentle guidance, reassuring touch, and someone to say, “you are allowed to go slowly; your only job is to heal and bond.”

Holding space for her as she tends to her own recovery and grows into this new power is sacred work, and it is never meant to be done alone. If you are in this in‑between, you are not behind. You are becoming.
