SUNDAY RELAXATION TIP

As we prepare for a new week, let’s take a moment to prioritize our well-being! 💖

Try progressive muscle relaxation. This simple yet effective technique can help reduce the physical tension often associated with PTSD and stress. Here’s how to do it:

1. Find a comfortable position. Either sitting or lying down.
2. Start with your toes: Tense the muscles in your toes for five seconds, then release.
3. Move up your body: Continue this process with your feet, calves, thighs, abdomen, arms, and so on, until you’ve tensed and relaxed every muscle group.
4. Focus on the sensation: Notice how your body feels as you release tension.

By taking a few moments for this practice, you can cultivate a sense of calm and grounding.
