We welcome Dr Lamees Al Ashi to Nexus Osteo!

She is a friendly and compassionate osteopath who has experience in treating people of all ages and backgrounds. Whilst treating as an osteopath she has developed an interest in treating pregnancy, women’s pelvic health and head aches. 

Lamees has gained significant experience in managing long and short term injuries through working as a sports trainer at the football clubs, as well as piloting a rehabilitation plan for a large corporate organisation. 

She is always trying to further her skillset, currently holding qualifications in dry needling and cupping and cranial osteopathy.

Lamees  uses a variety of osteopathic techniques along side exercise prescription  to not only treat the symptoms but to dig deeper and treat the cause of the pain.

Lamees will be available Monday, Tuesday and Friday.

Just like that Dr Cansu Jay Esen is on maternity leave!

Whilst she may be away physically, she will be available via social media and email to answer questions and concerns.

She will be reviewing all correspondence from third parties and checking patient treatment notes to monitor their progress.

All future and current patients of hers have been put in the great hands of her associates.

Dr Esen may be back late this year or early next year!

One of the biggest pregnancy myths.. to stop exercisingduring pregnancy!

This is a BIG HELL NO!

I mean you may need to adjust your routine depending on energy levels, morning sickness and the type of exercise...

However exercise has many benefits both for mum and bubs that outweigh the risks.

The information in the slides above has been retrieved from the Australian Government Department of health website.

Please be careful and speak to a professional if you're starting a type of exercise for the first time during your pregnancy.

If you are continuing your normal routine (with the exception of some) you may safely continue to do so in pregnancy.

Located in the Northern Suburbs of Melbourne, Nexus Osteo prides itself on providing excellent hands on care, patient education and exercise rehabilitation. We provide a direct/structual approach to treatment, with great after care and empathy to the needs of our patients.

As a sponsor of Thomastown Football Netball club interest in rehab and injury management is prefereable.

We are a growing clinic with high GP referrals over the last 10 years.
The new candidate will be taking on flow on patients as well as an existing practioner(s) going on leave.
There is some flexibility on days required, and new graduates are welcome to apply.

Interviews will be conducted in early February, with start date of March/April (negotiable).
