We are proud to share that Dandenong Medicare Urgent Care Clinic has become the busiest Urgent Care Clinic in Australia , a testament to the commitment of our healthcare professionals, dedicated admin team, and the trust of our community.

A special thank you to our in-house partners Radiology, Pathology, Specialist teams, Infusion Centre, Eye Clinic and Allied health for their collaboration in delivering holistic, patient-centred care.

We also acknowledge the invaluable support of our Care Program partners – the Federal Government, Victorian Government, SEMPHN,Monash Health, Ambulance Victoria, Greens Medical Group, and Keys Medical Centre ,for enabling this vital service.

Our admin and nursing teams at Greens Medical Group recently took part in a comprehensive training session led by Initial Health and organised by our teaching wing, Your Clinical Institute.

The session covered:

✅ Triage protocols for Dandenong Urgent Care Clinic – Erin Roger, Nurse Manager
✅ Medicare billing essentials – Fariha Khan, Practice Manager
✅ Documentation and managing challenging patient interactions – Riekie Jooste, Operations Manager
✅ Discharge summaries, follow-ups, recalls, and clinical decision-making – Dr. Hamid Fairoos, Clinical Lead & Founder of Initial Health

It was an interactive and engaging session, focused on upskilling our frontline team to ensure safe, efficient, and patient centred care.

MyMedicare is a new government program that lets you register with your regular GP and clinic, so your care is more personal and better coordinated.

🧾 Who Can Register?

• Anyone with a Medicare or DVA card
• Must have seen your GP or clinic twice in the last 2 years
• Parents/guardians can register children under 14

📲 How to Register?

• Online through MyGov or the Medicare App
• Or simply ask us at the reception desk – we can help!

🛑 You can still visit other GPs or clinics if needed. MyMedicare just strengthens your care with your usual GP.
