🩺 Last week, on World Diabetes Day, we were honoured to have Professor Chris Gilfillan, our Clinical Director of Endocrinology, talk about the vital role clinical trials play in enhancing the quality of life for those affected by diabetes.

At ECRU Health Research Hub, our dedicated team is at the forefront of researching innovative pharmacological interventions to alleviate the impact of diabetes and its associated comorbidities.

💬 “What we aim to do, is provide people with therapy that they can handle, that doesn’t cause them too much distress or inconvenience, and that does the job. This way they can rest assured that their diabetes is well controlled and they’re doing everything they can to prevent complications down the track, like cardiovascular disease and kidney problems," Prof Gilfillan said.

These trials are crucial in paving the way for breakthroughs and better management strategies for those living with diabetes.
