π§¦β€οΈ This Friday, 5th June, we proudly support and celebrate β a movement dedicated to raising awareness for the mental health and wellbeing of doctors, nurses, allied health professionals and all healthcare workers.
Did you know that CrazySocks4Docs was founded right here in Melbourne by our very own cardiologist, Dr Geoff Toogood? π
What began with one pair of mismatched socks has grown into an international movement helping break down the stigma surrounding mental health in healthcare. The message is simple but powerful β itβs okay not to be okay, and healthcare workers deserve support too.
Every year on CrazySocks4Docs Day, people wear crazy or mismatched socks to:
𧦠Start conversations about mental health
𧦠Support colleagues who may be struggling silently
𧦠Raise awareness of burnout, anxiety, depression and su***de among healthcare workers
𧦠Remind clinicians to look after themselves while caring for others β€οΈ
At Rotar Heart Health, we are incredibly proud that one of our own specialists helped create a movement that continues to make a difference to healthcare workers around the world.
πΈ This Friday, put on your craziest socks, take a photo and help spread awareness by sharing it using
