💙 Autism Awareness Month 💙

Autism is part of the diversity that makes people who they are. Every autistic person experiences the world in their own way, with their own strengths, interests and perspectives.

Awareness is a great starting point, but understanding, patience and acceptance are what really make a difference.

At M&A Support Services we’re proud to walk alongside autistic individuals and their families every day, supporting them to live life in a way that works for them.

A more inclusive world starts with understanding.

💪 Midweek gym sessions with Dion and Phil

Dion and his support worker Phil head to the gym to work out and spend some time out in the community.
They’ve discovered they share a few interests too that being fitness and a mutual love for Warhammer.

Finding the right support worker can sometimes take time, but when the right match comes along it makes all the difference.

Safe to say Phil ticks all the boxes 😊

Just over a week ago, Branka met with our participant David for lunch.

David had a stroke in March last year and it affected all down his left side.

After intense physiotherapy supports, David is now able to stand and walk very slowly which is amazing progress. He will continue with physio to that he can hopefully gain full strength and mobility in his arm and leg.

We’re also so pleased that NDIS have finally approved his wheelchair and power assist, with delivery expected in the coming weeks.

This will give David even more independence and freedom.

We’re so proud of your progress, David 💪

A whole new outlook!

Gary is looking the best he has in a very long time. A man who could not hold down housing and was on the move all of the time.

He is now in stable accommodation and loving life!
