Over 37,000 Australians are living with MS, and no two journeys look the same.

Some people experience physical changes. Others are navigating symptoms you might never notice from the outside. And for many, it’s a mix of both, changing over time.

It’s often diagnosed in early adulthood, right in the middle of building a life, career, and family. Which means there’s a lot to adjust to, often quietly.

World MS Day is about awareness, but also understanding. Taking a moment to recognise that not everything is visible, and that support can make a real difference.

WE’RE HIRING

M&A Support Services is looking for a full time Support Coordinator to join our team!
We’re looking for someone who is passionate about helping people, values genuine connection and wants to make a real difference in the lives of participants and families.

What we’re looking for:
🤍 Strong communication and people skills
🤍 A good understanding of the NDIS
🤍 Someone organised, proactive and compassionate
🤍 Ability to work independently and as part of a team
🤍 Experience in Support Coordination is preferred

You may feel like there’s so much pressure to make decisions quickly when it comes to care for yourself or a loved one.

To say yes or no on the spot.
To just “know” what you need.
But the truth is… that’s not always realistic.

It’s okay to say “I need time to think about that.”

It doesn’t mean you’re unsure or difficult.
It means you’re taking the space you need to make the right decision for you.

Whether it be a service, a plan, a change, or something being explained for the first time… you’re allowed to pause.

Good support should make you feel informed, not rushed.

Take your time.

Con, you absolute legend!

Our incredible team member Lisa makes it a point to catch up with her participants in person as much as their funding allows. It's how they get to know each other properly, work through plan details together, and build real trust.

This is what person-centred support actually looks like. Not just a phone call. Not just paperwork. A genuine connection.

We are so lucky to work alongside participants like Con every single day.
