Hello dharma practitioners!

Here, Guy and I take you through the Chenrezig Sadhana or prayer. Chenrezig is the Buddha of compassion, his mantra is OM MANI PADME HUM also pronounced OM MANI PEME HUNG. When reciting this mantra you can visualise a beautiful peaceful Buddha shining his light upon you and as you move deeper into meditation, see his golden light radiating from your heart and soul. Let the energy freely flow through you as you hold the thoughts of all those needing compassion right now. Chenrezig is a beautiful, healing practice that we say in English and also chant in phonetic Tibetan.

I’ve used the Chenrezig practice almost daily in my life. It’s incredibly transformative and healing in nature. This practice turns our focus to helping others and thinking kindly of those who are suffering. In this way it alleviates our own ego, minimises our own anxiety and truly cultivates love within one’s own self- which is very uplifting!

Chenrezig is a deity that brings about the blessing of loving kindness. As a Buddha, he can be called upon for wisdom and healing.
