🌟 A Touch of Culture and Celebration at St Basil’s! 🌟

Our residents were treated to an unforgettable experience last week with a vibrant belly dancing performance right here at the facility! 💃✨

With colourful costumes, graceful movements, and joyful music, the dancer brought smiles, laughter, and a beautiful taste of Middle Eastern culture to our home. Many residents clapped along, tapped their feet, and even got up to have a little dance themselves!

Moments like these not only brighten our days but also create lasting memories for our residents. Thank you to everyone who helped organise this special event!

🍫 Happy World Chocolate Day! 🍫

This afternoon, our lovely residents got their hands chocolatey and their hearts full as we celebrated World Chocolate Day with a fun chocolate crackle-making session! 👩‍🍳👨‍🍳
Laughter, smiles, and the sweet smell of chocolate filled the room. It’s always special to see everyone come together and enjoy these little moments. 💕

🎉 End of Month Birthday Celebrations! 🎉

We wrapped up the month in style with our monthly birthday celebration – a time to honour and celebrate all the wonderful residents who had their birthdays in June! 🎂🎈

A very special thank you to the incredible Harmony Choir, whose beautiful voices and heartfelt melodies truly lit up the room. Their performance added an extra layer of joy to the day, and our residents were absolutely delighted!

These moments of connection and celebration are what make our community so special. 💛

Happy Birthday to all our June babies – may the year ahead be filled with good health, happiness, and love.

Today, Fr Phillip visited our facility for the traditional Agiasmo service as we marked the beginning of a new month – 1st of July. 🌿✨

Father Phillip offered blessings to all our residents, staff, and our home, filling the space with peace, prayer, and a renewed sense of hope for the month ahead.

These spiritual moments are deeply meaningful to many of our residents and bring great comfort and joy. We thank Fr Phillip for his continued care and presence in our community.

🎉🍓 Pavlova Party in Full Swing! 🍓🎉

Today we swapped our aprons for chef hats and got a little whisk-y in the kitchen! Our residents had a blast whipping up delicious pavlovas — complete with mountains of cream, fresh fruit, and lots of laughter. 😄💕

There were a few cheeky taste testers along the way (quality control, of course 😉), and the results were nothing short of sweet success! Big smiles, full tummies, and one or two debates about the “correct” way to top a pav — we call that a win! 🎂✨

We love creating these fun, hands-on moments that bring joy, connection, and a sprinkle of sweetness to everyone’s day. ❤️

👩‍🍳 Greek Delights in the Making! 🧀🥟
What a deliciously fun day in our aged care home! Our talented residents rolled up their sleeves and got busy in the kitchen, making traditional Greek Tiropites (cheese pies) — even making the dough from scratch! 👐✨
The room was filled with laughter, flour, and the most amazing smells 😍👏 Watching our residents share stories, cooking tips, and a few secret family recipes was truly heartwarming. ❤️

We love celebrating culture, creativity, and connection through food. Opa! 🎉🍽️

What a lovely day out at The Meadow Inn Hotel! 🌿✨

Our residents enjoyed a delicious lunch, warm company, and a cozy, welcoming atmosphere. The smiles, laughter, and stories shared over the table made it a truly special outing. For many, it brought back fond memories of family gatherings and Sunday lunches — and the desserts were definitely a highlight! 🍰☕️

Thank you to the wonderful staff at The Meadow Inn for your hospitality, and to our team for making sure everyone felt comfortable and cared for throughout the day. We love creating opportunities for our residents to connect, socialise, and enjoy the little joys of life outside the facility. 💛

🎉 Bingo and Tiganites Delight! 🎉

We kicked off the day with a lively round of Bingo, bringing out big smiles and even bigger excitement! Numbers were called, and plenty of “Bingo!” shouts filled the room. Congratulations to all our winners — and to everyone who joined in the fun with big smiles and lively banter. 💬😊

Later, we gathered in the activity room to whip up a batch of homemade tiganites (Greek-style fried pancakes). With everyone lending a hand — from mixing the batter to carefully frying and topping them with honey and cinnamon — the room was filled with the most mouth-watering scent. 🥞🍯

These simple, shared moments create such joy and connection among our residents, and we’re so grateful to see their faces light up. 💛

🚌✨ Resident Outing Fun! ✨🛍️

Today, our residents enjoyed a wonderful outing to Broadmeadows Shopping Centre! The excitement was in the air as we strolled through the shops, picked up a few treats, and shared lots of laughs along the way.

From browsing their favourite stores to enjoying a donuts together, it was a lovely day filled with smiles, connection, and a change of scenery. Outings like these mean so much to our residents, offering not just fun, but the joy of independence and community.

🍕 Pizza Party Perfection!

Our Lifestyle Team turned up the heat this week with a hands-on pizza-making session for our wonderful residents — and it was delizioso! 👨‍🍳👩‍🍳

From rolling out the dough to choosing their favorite toppings, everyone had a blast creating their own authentic Italian-style pizzas. 🍅🧀 Fresh basil, rich tomato sauce, and gooey mozzarella brought the true taste of Italy right into our home!

It wasn’t just about food — it was about flavor, fun, and friendship. ❤️
