Victoria holds a degree in Occupational Therapy and is a SOS certified therapist with extensive experience in providing occupational therapy and Consultancy services for the paediatric population.
During school hours on weekdays, Victoria also works for the Department of Education and Training, based at an educational institution for students with Autism Spectrum Disorder. Here, she holds the role of a Therapy Team Leader and Senior Occupational Therapist, leading a close-knit team of interdisciplinary therapists to provide therapeutic interventions to students aged 5 to 18 years.
She has also worked in multi-speciality hospitals across Sri Lanka, working with children with Autism Spectrum Disorders, Cerebral Palsy, Dyspraxia, learning difficulties, and global developmental delays. Victoria has experience working in special school settings in Sri Lanka, supporting children experiencing mild to complex physical and cognitive disabilities to access, participate and engage in their everyday activities.
Victoria is passionate about promoting independence, making a positive change in the client's life, and adopting an open and welcoming nature in her work with children and their families. Her areas of expertise, certification, and specialisation include:
